I don't think Sonic Team wants to make a good game. They just cant help themselves from adding guns, more characters than anyone wants, furry customization, and weird dialog boxes no one asked for. I like Generations a lot, but this looks worse every time I see it.

Now that you mention it, yeah I can see that. The power whip (or whatever it is) mechanic seems 100% design for that version of Sonic.

Maybe they planned that, but changed it because of backlash from fans.
