Sonic Generations: Two Sonics trailer

Seeing the pair of Tails's (sp?) following the Sonic's makes me want a 2-player mode. The game continues to look like a lot of fun. I wish it included more zones though. 1 per game isn't enough for me.
 
WHO ELSE CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY AS MODERN TAILS!! Tails has been amazing in every 3D Sonic game and always has the best controls!

The Tails stages were my favorite in Sonic Colors
 
Goodness, Rooftop Run looks incredible. Even Seaside Hill had me smiling like crazy.

If only the stage picks were better. I'd be hyped through the roof.
Seriously, we need Ice Cap or Hydrocity in this.
 
There seems to be a little too much... 'hold right (or forward, depending on your Sonic) to win' going on. I dunno, we'll wait and see, but the level design seems be very streamlined to basically keep noth Sonics running through the level most of the time isntead of having a solid mix of platforming et all.

Hopefully that's not the case, and hopefully Modern Sonic resembles the level design that we saw in Sonic Colors.

If you havea Wii, give Sonic Colors a shot, but keep in mind that the game feels a little ho hum until you start unlocking the Wisp abilities and revisiting stages.
 
Nitpick, but I don't really like how yellow Classic Tails looks. I remember him looking darker than the Modern Tails, not lighter.

16-bit stages remastered look great

but Spagonia from Unleashed looks out of place with it's realistic city look (same goes for City Escape)

Exactly.

I'm also sad that Modern is a 2D/3D hybrid thing, when you already have a full separate 2D Classic. And also sad that Boosting is a thing.

I don't think I'll ever enjoy a sonic game besides SA1 and 2. Shame.
 
I hope it turns out well, I'm sure the 2D will be good but their choice of Unleashed style 3D when the superior Adventure style exists still annoys me.
 
It's looking nice. I'm still side-eyeing some of the levels they chose to recreate though...

Also, if Modern Sonic plays anything like Sonic Colors, that would be great.

Agreed. Modern Sonic is so restricted, and even more so now because there are invisible walls everywhere. So not only can you not explore this stuff, but you can't even make the mistake of running off the side of Green Hill. There goes even more challenge.

If they could make the player balance speed and platforming at the same time, they would have a winning combo. All they have at the moment is a roller coaster with a few paths.

Umm...what?

After calming down from excitement I did notice a couple of those awkward speed boosters in C. Sonic's Seaside Hill. Ah well I guess we'll have to deal with that laziness.

So I guess all that's left to be revealed are
Sky Sanctuary, Speed Highway, Crisis City, and Planet Wisp
. Really wish they added Ice Cap Zone from Sonic 3 but the only thing to wish for is DLC. Even then that seems like a little false hope. Other than that I'm still pretty excited for this game!

Wishful thinking really, I don't see how this could be feasible in a real world situation.

Yeah it's pretty stupid, even though I prefer modern Tails.

Agreed. I really hope they don't just make extra stages for existing levels as DLC like in Unleashed. In Sega All-Stars Racing, they gave us an entirely new level (Death Egg). I hope they take that route and give us a Sonic 3 stage. Ice Cap or Hydrocity preferrably.

It was less polished and had tons of glitches, but the gameplay in them was pretty much the same. And some don't mind crappy games as long as it's done in a style they like (Spider-Man: Web of Shadows fans).

Personally, I prefer good gameplay. Thus I'm not really bothered if the Adventure style stays dead.

The game where most loopdeloops and spiraling paths were played for you?
 
hyped for classic tails, not so much for modern. If only for the fact the flood gates have opened and now im afraid we'll be seeing a lot of unnecessary characters.
