Yeah, trying to get even a B in Holoska Day sucks :p

HMMM so does that mean you actually enjoyed Jason Griffith's VA? :p

I think I might be in the minority that preferred his VA over Craig Smith's, and even Ryan's. I thought he hit a good stride with Unleashed. To me Smith's voice work gives off a way bigger beach-goer douchbag vibe than the other two. I don't think his corny writing has helped either though. But again I think I'm alone in thinking this.
By Secret Rings and Unleashed, Jason Griffith definitely found his sweet spot, and I think it culminated pretty nicely in Black Knight. It was actually a shame that he didn't last much longer afterwards.

Dan Green and Lisa Ortiz
or Jennifer Douillard
should come back for Knuckles and Amy. Cindy Robinson sounds more annoying, and Travis Willingham isn't bad at all, but he's not Dan fucking Green. :p

I wish we had animated avatars :(

I will never not be weirded out by the fact that Sonic and Banjo somehow ended up in the same game.

Speaking of which, getting the trophies in ASR that require you to play online are such a pain in the arse to get these days...

I won't disagree that the new Amy is a bit annoying, but c'mon, Colonel Roy Knuxtang. I can't not love this.

In fact, maybe we should pair up Knuckles with Amy, because she likes wearing TINY MINISKIRTS

Roy Knuxtang is pretty awesome, but he needs to go home and be a family man master guardian.

Dan Green Knuckles would at least have a hardon for big rocks and holes

Fucking brilliant.

Is it me, or are the menu sound effects that Sonic games bring always charming to listen to?

I don't know why, but whenever I remember the Sonic games I've played, the menu sound effects are almost always one of the things I remember the most about. Maybe it's because they reuse them for other games i don't know.

A few of them make me mad because they're from Heroes :p

All that talk of Knuckles made me think of something:
They need to have Knuckles throw Sonic at somebody, yelling, "SONIC BOOM!"

Regulus Tera

Romanes Eunt Domus
The runbutton people dissing Mario Kart. I don't like these doofuses anymore.

EDIT: The one thing I don't get though, why is the music samba when Amigo is wearing a Mexican sombrero?

Well I do agree with their points, especially about the Blue Shell. Mario Kart could be faster, and they could try a bit more as well. It's just amazing how different Transformed is compared to minor changes Mario Kart has throughout the years.

Hey SonicGAF. Finally got my new computer... Time to play Generations PC!

Because I also made something for the Pokémon OT a while back, here's something for my Sonic buddies on GAF <3

I'll be using this for something real soon. Not a fangame, though. :p

Oh, and something old while I'm at it:

That reminds me. I've done pixel art done on Sonic a long time ago. I gotta find it. Really love that GIF, by the way!

EDIT: FUCK THE GAME IS UPDATING WHILE MY INTERNET IS BEING SLOW

EDIT: Why is the update so big. Fuck you, Sega. I thought you'd download with the update the first time... FUCK >:| THERE GOES MY NIGHT OF PLAYING THIS GAME.

What's with the Sonic Heroes love-in in S&SASR? I need that game though. Will be searching tomorrow.
Sega likes it because it was the only 3D game with classic style level tropes pre-Colors. No additional design work necessary, just rebuild or recycle existing assets where they're needed.

I have it for PC. Ever once in a while I install it, play a bit of Seaside Hill and Ocean Palace, and uninstall it again (not because I hate it, I just let it fall to the wayside as I played better games).

Although I do have the 360 adapter...I wonder if 360 controllers are recognized by the game? Darn, I'm gonna have to reinstall it again, aren't I.

They probably used them because at that point the Heroes assets were the most recent Sonic game they could use assets from that looked somewhat like classic Sonic levels. If they used Sonic 06 assets the tracks would just look like generic places and if they used Unleashed assets they would look like real places and not really be indicative of the Sonic franchise, so they could either create all new assets for Green Hill/Casino Night/Death Egg tracks or they could just touch up assets from Sonic Heroes to evoke the same style but save time and money (which they were probably short on given how much they reused track styles).

Figured that would be the answer. So lazy! :(

Clearly all the effort went into the gorgeous stages for the other franchises. The Samba stage is brilliant. I hope HOTD actually gets referenced in the next game and not just "CURIEN MANSION". Overkill references would be insanely good (if impossible).

If anything, I'm expecting them to use Generations assets for the Sonic tracks this time around.

It'll never, ever happen, but I'd love to see Planet Wisp as a track.

I'm thinking they should add a difficulty mode to future Sonic games. However, instead of would be usually considered more difficult, they should make the levels longer if you're playing hard mode.

I kinda wish Sonic Generations had longer levels.

Considering the Plane and Boat transformations we could narrow down the choices based on that.

Water opportunities
- Green Hill to an extent
- Chemical Plant
- Seaside Hill....again
- Planet Wisp? purple gunk water is present

Air opportunities
Feasibly any zone could be adapted well to this but Sky Sanctuary is the obvious one, wouldn't be that good for much else though.

OH GOD I'VE BEEN SAYING COLOURS AND NOT COLORS

WHAT IS HAPPENING

Embrace the U!

As far as planet wisp generations goes the modern version isn't too bad at all on replays, the spiral tower style section is pretty cool but they could do without the final set of rocket sections that feel like padding.
Classic will always suck with that weird music remix, worse to control than original spikes ability and the "puzzle" rooms with the gear things.

I liked Planet Wisp in Generations, but I dodn't like how 80% of the level took place in the industrial segments. I guess it kind of made sense since it was being used as a final level, but I love the outdoor portions way more. It'd be nice to see more of those parts.

It's still nowhere near as great as the original version(s), but it's actually grown on me.
