Sony E3 2017 Conference Thread [Over]

That was a TERRIBLE conference. Where were the megatons?

God of War and Spiderman looked good but we knew about both already.

Guess Sony thought they'd show Monster Hubter and get away with it.

Quick thoughts.

It was ok.

SoTC and MH will be mine. After that it was pretty much stuff we knew about.

For me they win out of the big 2 simply because they showed me more games I can only play on PS4.

Hmm. A lot of games coming out in 2018. However, most of it was stuff we've seen. A little disappointed, but at the same time, there are a ton of good games coming up so I can't complain.

60min show only?

Every game was 2018 lol

Can't believe that Microsoft literally had a better show this year despite the lack of exclusives

Hard to live up to the last few years fo sho. Overall I thought it was good. GOW is the game of the show for me. The pre show also had a decent showing. Days Gone looked good.

Good stuff. Not as hype as the last few years but thats aight.

I just want to see RDR2 and TLOU2 at PSX and I will be a happy man.

GOW, Days Gone, RDR2 and TLOU2 are the only games I really give a shit about right now anyway.

Microsoft's conference was miles better. They had surprises, indies, all sorts of shit. 42 games. How many games did Sony show? 15, maybe?

Starting out with two DLCs was a good forewarning that they had nothing major up their sleeves.

Yup, 2014 flash backs. Some good games, but no major new announcements and thus no hype.

Nintendo probably won't announce new games either.

I was alright I guess I mean it's mostly stuff we already knew about. Monster Hunter was the best thing announced but man that left a lot to be desired.

Sony (and to be fair, Microsoft as well) did a pretty bad job on selling me on their console for that conference.

I thought Sony's conference was real weak. A few positive points (Spiderman, GoW, and the multiplat MH game), but pretty much a lot of other mediocre stuff that doesn't appeal to me.

Mario + Rabbids is still the most surprising exclusive for me despite already knowing about it going in, which says a lot.

Jesus christ some of you are bitter losers, much of the inspiration for spider-man has clearly come from the original Spider-Man 2 back on PS2.

Batman was clearly a development of the ideas brought forward in Spider-Man 2 (ps2), rooftop to ground gameplay/combat, whole city exploration etc. People seem to have forgotten about Spidey 2.

Spider-Man looks amazing

That was a pretty poor conference I think, despite several of the games looking very very good.

Just man, there wasn't any substantial surprises at all

Surprised everyone's so, well, surprised. It was an hour-long conference that only had 3 minutes of talking and showed games back to back to back. Give me that any day over a little over an hour with 20 minutes of talking/YouTube personalities introducing games/overlong "Thank You"s by developers to their fans, etc.

God of War, SotC, Uncharted, Spider-Man, and CoD looked amazing. Destiny 2 and Detroit also looked really solid. Besides the mediocre VR stuff in the middle I thought it was a very well done conference.

Was a single new major game announced here? Was not impressed by this conference, feels like they blew their load in the pre-show.

I suppose it's up to Nintendo now.
