I can't give it a grade because I've had it mostly in the background while watching Game 5, but it seemed like a very solid conference just like Microsoft. The difference is Microsoft was trying to sell the Xbox One X and did a really poor job whereas I guess Sony was trying to sell a VR headset?

Plus honestly I'm much more interested in the blockbuster exclusives shown by Sony versus Microsoft even though neither showed anything new that was major. Objectively I would say both were pretty similar though.

Spider-Man was a fucking joke, QTE fest.

SOTC was easily the best thing out of it, but considering we are talking about a remake I don't think that's exactly good.

Can't wait for Horizon DLC.

Imagine actually thinking that this was an "epic fail." Truly amazing.

Games are so incredibly entitled. Not every year can have 5 different bombs dropped. This was a very good conference that showed off a number of great-looking games.

You just can't have every year be like they've had the past two years.

Shadow of the Colossus, Detroit and Spider-Man are all day 0 for me. God of War looks good, but I'm not as hyped about it as I probably should be.

This was the best conference I"ve seen so far, but still nothing like last year. B conference, but that's because everything else was so lame. It was much too predictable, but Spider Man and Shadow of the Colossus was OMG.

Nothing like last year though...but man, can't wait to play some of these games

Unlike gaf I am really digging Days Gone, Detroid, and Spidey. And like gaf I am stoked for GoW, Horizon DLC, UC LL, and the Shadow of the Colossus remake. Good to see further VR support as well.

Monster Hunter looked bad to me, but the trailer was horribly cut.

solid games. too long demos (I actually like those more outside the main conference like treehouse and day after stuff). somehow went too far in the "games shown vs talking" thing. nice to have devs present their games sometimes.
not really any surprises either.
