Spiderman is 2018 I believe.

I won't lie, yeah, if we are comparing this to past conferences, LOTS AND LOTS of mistakes were made.

Having said that.....

Shadow of Colossus Remake
God of War
Spiderman

That was enough for me.

But yeah, I would lie if I said the conference wasn't a dissapointment.

But then again, Uncharted looked great. Days gone was pretty good.

But that VR block. And all that stage shit. You don't HAVE to up the stage shit from last year. I will always love the KISS method. Keep It Simple Stupid.

Because it looks like a game in an overdone genre and an overdone setting (one that's extremely similar to another major Sony first-party IP) and nothing we've seen so far makes it look particularly unique.

I get the feeling that a lot of people may warm up to it more as it approaches release, assuming it's actually good.
But da zombie bear.

because its cool to say you are tired of zombies

but seriously, game looked cool, the TLoU comparison is lazy imo, but I can see how people would look it over, it didn't give me a "wow" moment just "ok that's cool".

i will buy it tho

You mean you're really not tired of zombies? Days Gone could very well be spectacular but I don't think people are saying they are tired of zombies to be cool. I think they're really tired of zombies.

Glaring omissions:

- New FROM IP/Bloodborne 2
- DMC5
- Resident Evil 2 Remake

:/

Damn. Also I hate what they've done to GOW. Some good moments in the conference but can't compare to the last two years.

You're not the only one. We're branching into uncanny valley territory with AI these days.

Developers don't seem to want to make advances in this area which is why we're left with either tightly scripted experiences or massively multi-player games where they don't have to bother with it.
"Wazzat sound!?"
"Carl you go check it out!"
*turns back to Carl who is 12 feet away in some tall grass*
"Hrm... musta been the wind..."
*killed by PC*
"Hey! Where is Carl!?"
"Jerry, go over in that tall grass and scope it out"

Infinite Warfare was the best selling game of 2016. Like I said, this will be an interesting experiment to see if the internet community yelling for a "return to the roots" is really big or just really loud.
Just going by my core group of friends and internet hype people seem way more interested this year. Im actually hyped for a cod for the 1st time since blops2

Uh Spider-Man is 2018.

I can bet that the same people thought Metro looked amazing :). I actually think that both of these games look great, but I expect the gameplay to be better in Days Gone.

After giving it some thought I think MS had a better conference and I thought that one was a bummer. Many of the Sony exclusives did not appeal to me at all. I'm sure I'll pick up the Uncharted game, but beyond that I'm struggling. Maybe the Horizon Zero Dawn DLC, but I haven't played the main game yet, but I plan to start tomorrow

The new Wolfenstein game is the only thing that really has me hyped and I didn't even play the last one.

Shadow of the Colossus remake is what interests me most and I never asked for it or knew I wanted it. lol

Other games looked fun as is to be expected this gen. Nothing blew me away really.

I enjoyed the pre-show more than the conference. Monster Hunter looked fucking sick though. Still kind of excited about MVCI, but man did it look rough.

Infinite Warfare was the best selling game of 2016. Like I said, this will be an interesting experiment to see if the internet community yelling for a "return to the roots" is really big or just really loud.

NPD yes but WW I believe that titles goes to FIFA.

Exactly this. Game of the show so far and I have to go buy the first one ASAP. Barely even knew what the series was before last night.

Anyone know more on that playlink they mentioned in preshow? When will it be avaible and the games? Seemed like a cool idea that should of been in the event instead.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about the conference this year. I didn't go in expecting the kind of conference we got in 2015 and 2016, I mostly expected to see the games that were already announced so I can't say I'm disappointed about getting just that.

It started off strong with the pre-show, Uncharted, and I am absolutely hyped for Horizon DLC because I loved that game and cannot wait to play more, but then it started going downhill from there.

Days Gone looks like just another zombie game. Manipulating the zombies to mow down your enemies is admittedly cool but the rest of the gameplay, story, characters does nothing for me. I'm not really a fan of zombie games in general so this was probably never going to interest me much but I just can't help thinking about how much more interesting the Last of Us is.

The VR stuff in the middle didn't really interest me. I know a lot of people didn't like it but I really miss the indie showcase we used to get during the conference. Pretty much all of the games shown in the pre-show, (Undertale, Matterfall, Super Hot, etc.) including the non indie games like Tropico, Ni no Kuni II, and GT Sport should have been in the conference. I'm really not sure what the rational was behind having them before when the show was so short.

I wish God of War had gotten another game demo instead of a trailer. I kind of wish we got one for Detroit also instead of just another less interesting variation of last years trailer. Spider-man looked great but I hope the game isn't really heavy on QTEs.

Where as MS's conference had a lot of games that were nice but did nothing to convince me that I needed to buy an Xbox for them (especially since none of them require one), I feel like Sony did the bare minimum to keep me excited about the games coming to PS4. There are plenty of games to look forward to on PS4, I haven't even played all of the ones that have come out during the beginning of this year, but I guess the presentation this year was just really poor.

because its cool to say you are tired of zombies

Man, these comments drive me up the wall. As soon as an opinion becomes popular, everyone who has it is just trying to be cool. Sometimes opinions are popular because they're sensible, not because people are trying to be cool.

I am tired of zombies. We've had these zombie games for years and in terms of design, nothing about Days Gone stands out at all. Just more regular people and regular zombies running around in the woods.

Solid conference, the best one so far.
A lot of gameplay and I already love Detroit.
No big surprises, but every game they showed were pretty amazing.

People see what they want to see.
*Shrug and walk away*

Are you implying that if someone didn't think a game was amazing is because they're subconsciously want it to be a bad game?

That's pretty fucked.

No amount of believing is going to make David Cage a good writer.

So Hidden Agenda is 2017? The one from the Until Dawn team? Is this game VR?

I liked the conference insofar as I want most of Sony's games. Days Gone, God of War, Uncharted, Horizon DLC, Spiderman, Knack 2: I'll be there day 1 for all of these games. Heck, maybe even for Marvel/Capcom Infinite if the story mode is as substantial as the trailer made it look. That said, I was disappointed in Sucker Punch not being there. I want to see a brand new Infamous title and I don't even know if one is being made.

Pacing was fairly good in the conference. Theater looked phenomenal. Really excited for God of War, Uncharted Lost Legacy, and Horizon Frozen Wilds. Looking forward to Days Gone and Spiderman, but they're not in the same league for me as the first bunch. I knew there was no way they could top last years conference, but I enjoyed it. Every game shown looked top notch. Overall A-.

You can literally say this about ANY game :) (Like Metro for example)

tbh I know it's selfish but I'm happy most games are pushed to early 2018...

Destiny 2 will be taking all of my time.. September launch + a DLC most likely in December.

I get it however E3 is the superbowl of gaming conferences, big announcements should be present here. I didnt feel any

Well like I said, Sony can't be dropping bombs every E3 or go for the throat every E3. Doing so will exhaust their finite resources and will drag their other shows down. Like some are pointing out.... Sony's own competition is themselves.

I'm expecting PSX to be similar to E3 in that they will show gameplay trailers for their exclusives and maybe one or two new games.

Eh, I liked the Preshow better than the conference. Days Gone failed to excite me and Spiderman had way too many QTE's and Batman dna for me to be too excited.

GOW looks sick as fuck, I liked GOW3, but was ready to be done with the franchise. They somehow made me give a damn again. Combat looks neat too.

Spider man looks pretty awesome.

I'm quite happy they're highlighting PSVR games

Didn't expect shadow of the colossus to be a full remake. Pleasantly surprised

Monster Hunter actually looks good. I was one of those people who couldn't get past the jank and the mmo-like grind of the thing. So this trailer was exactly what i needed from it.

Detroit looks good, hopefully the story grabs my attention.

Days Gone looks interesting, but does feel like ground that's already been tread. I'll probably still get it cause I like sony bend's output.

8/10 - could've used a few more suprises. But what they did show was amazing.

The fantastic pre-show made me expect a MUCH better conference. They should have show all the VR stuff at the pre-show, and let Tropico, Knack 2 and Matterfall have their time during the conference. Don't know why they made that pre-show if they had such a underwhelming conference.
