It's more about ensuring they have that country with them in the future.

Korea is the next Japan. The entertainment coming out of there is growing at an incredible rate. Their culture is spreading across the world. Squid games, and check out the shows on Netflix and of course Kpop. Their next big thing is gaming and comics/Manwha.

The quality is not often there yet, or the games are by design not what I would want, actually I don't know if I ever played anything Korean, but from a business perspective Sony (and anyone else) must pursue any growth oppurtunity. Trying to establish a new studio or maybe exclusive partnerships. China may be even more important, if it is even possible with their restrictive market. I wonder why Sony did not also invest more in having at least one studio in Eastern Europe incl Russia.

I'm not sure why I have to choose. Lies of P was amazing. Currently in NG++. I absolutely love FS games as well. Neowiz has a super solid foundation with Lies of P.
