Sony needs to improve PS4 shipment in NA

Amazon is back in stock in the US again. Think it was planned this way because I saw a Ps4 commercial for the first time in awhile last night during the All Star Game and they mentioned it was in stores now. Too bad it doesn't seem to be in very many stores though lol.

Atleast 999 right now when checked again. They must have got a new shipment.

Where did the report/rumor come from that Sony had a portion of the January shipment delivered in December? I know ive read this a few times here.

I am wondering what numbers we will see come February, which is historically a better month than January (every month is better than January!)

Can anyone confirm if Amazon shipments will leave the package at my apartment building? I really don't want to come home Wednesday and see one of those slips on my door.

You have to leave a note on your apartment with your signature saying to leave it at the office.

Ran out of ps4s at my store for the first time in well over a month. Sold 35+ last week! but Sonys been pretty good I should be getting another shipment of 66 this week

It was either thuway or famousmortimer, I forget. But Sony themselves say they sold ~2.1 million WW in December, and it's clear they couldn't deliver the same in January, so I would say that confirms it.
I'm expecting Feb to be slightly better, but I think March/April before they can start stacking shelves with them.

There are 3 console only PS4s in stock right now also, most likely from bad credit cards not going through.

-edit- those were snapped up quick

The rumors have been 1m in China and 400k in Japan, so depending on how low production goes in those 2 weeks, the minimum should be 500k in China and 400k in Japan right? so Production would be between 900k-1400k

They'll be doing a simultaneous launch in China and Japan? That's news to me. I somehow thought the Chinese launch would come later.

I posted this elsewhere but for reference here is how the Xbox 360 did it's first year in the US. The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion released on March 20th. The 360 was supply constrained for it's first 5 months or so.

It's not really surprising to me when we are talking about a popular-ish game and a service you pretty much have to buy anyway. If it was junk games and accessories bringing it up, I'd agree.

Still surprising that this much demand is there for a console that has moved as many units as it has and still is selling everything they make.

The bundle sold out. It doesn't seem like there will be consistent stock of this thing readily available for months if this continues.

So was on amazon (UK). Past bestsellers 2014

3. PS4 standalone

17. Killzone PS4 bundle

38. Knack PS4 bundle

57. Xbox one standalone

WOW. Even the knack bundle outselling the xbone one here. Microsoft must be very worried. They are getting trounced.

I still haven't seen a PS4 in the wild yet. Kansas is either PS4 crazy or we just get none.

I've never seen a sold out One display. Not even the day after launch.
