Was there a specific breakthrough in the route/strats that brought it under 100? I haven't been following since Siglemic's last WR.

Lots of strats that were deemed too risky at the time are standard now.

These guys have been speedrunning SM64 for as long as I can remember. I watched a few speedruns of both Cheese and Puncay around 2 years ago. Insane that they're still at it and haven't burned out.
