I was kinda worried that the sniper rifles would have a really long range (relative to the other weapons), but that fear has been put to rest. Seems like a fair range for the weapon type. Guessing some would have a greater range or something while having other weaker attributes.

They may have enabled infinite ink or something just for the videos to showcase stuff. The only UI we've seen in the videos is a cursor.
No, you can see their ink running out on their backpack thing. One charge shot and a bomb seems to completely deplete it.
Oh yea, you guys are right, and I completely missed the ink bar when the inkling was in squid mode. Sorry about that.
On second thought, you're right about that as well. The second charge shot was done during the ink getting emptied indicated by the white color. Interesting that you can still use the weapon despite the ink tank being emptied.
Wait, nvm, I think it is two charge shots and an ink bomb lol.
...I think I'm going to main the sniper rifle setup. Seeing how it generates paths to play in while boding opponents is just too next level for me not to try it.

those preview look very smooth and very fun, i don't think we saw the light green paint yet, and the new mode look very fun but perhaps a tad unoriginal.
I also like that while whe can't communicate directly whe can still communicate undirectly in a manner similar to luigi mansion 2.
I feel that the wait to may will be very painfull!

I was also at the Press Event at Nintendo of Europe in Frankfurt (working myself for the biggest german Nintendo News-Website, ntower).

Looks really fun, the soundtrack especially sounds great. One of the tracks has an OG Animal Crossing vibe. Seems like a good way to get familiar with the controls too.

Were you playing in this video? Because I really liked the style and I linked the video in the preview thread. But you should try to upload the videos in 60fps, it makes such a difference with this game.

Yup, it was me playing in that Video. Same counts for the upcoming MP-Vids.
Yea, I know, Nintendo used the Hauppauge HD PVR 2 for capturing, it is normally able to capture in 60 fps. Videos were only in 30 fps. But we are trying to upload the Multiplayer Vids in 60 fps.

Yeah, I don't remember the name at this moment, but when it comes to the soundtrack, somebody is working on it who also worked on the soundtrack of Animal Crossing, TLoZ and several Mario Games. Controls are VERY easy to learn and they are perfect for the GamePad.

Weve just confirmed that this weapon is called a Blaster. It shoots special ink rounds that burst like fireworks once theyve traveled a certain distance! Apparently these bursts can deal damage in a pretty wide area, so this weapon is great for exposing hidden foes.

TV show, toys, clothes... this game as so many potential. If the game is good and if it catches some attention they may try to have a new Pokémon like brand. At least if I was Iwata I would definitely try to.

I'm kind of surprised people keep saying Splatoon looks like a kids game. Is it just this gen or something?
Aside from the in game characters looking young it stylistically looks closer to the JSR games than any actual game targeted at kids, yet those were never considered looking like for kids
