Hmm...with my work schedule changing to having most of Sunday available instead of none of Sunday, I may think about it.

I would really need to derust though. Holding a Switch Pro Controller to holding the Gamepad will be jarring lol. Glad to see another bigger Western Tournament for Splatoon!

Edit: I forgot, it's two back to back Saturdays, not a 2 day weekend tournament lol. I might do it then!

Nintendo tweeted it from their official Twitter Account:

So they are very involved in this I would presume. This also goes in line with rumors that Nintendo reserved the stage at E3 to host a Splatoon tournament to coincide with the launch or announcement for Splatoon 2.

They know of it and are either supporting it or just promoting it, but they aren't putting any money into it.

Also, I need two more people for me and my buddies team. Anyone want to be our partners?

I can do it, or my daughter can and she's really good in it.

Thought this was gonna have some subtle hint to Splatoon 2's release date, but it's not Nintendo themselves running the tournament.

I'll need to get in some practice first, but I'd love to join

So this is actually at the top of the front page of the Wii U Eshop.

Interesting to see Nintendo promote an tournament not by them.

Damn, same day as the March for Science.

Probably for the best, haven't touched Splatoon 1 in a few months.
