2018, should have waited until E3 and announced then. Hate that about the game industry always announcing shit way too early
No way. I'd say it's definitely a 2019 game for Part 4. Considering the rumors around DE:MD's release, that Montreal were working on MD, an MD sequel culled from MD, and Tomb Raider 3, I want to say this is early in development hence no name. We'd be lucky to see it by May 2018, but I'd expect an info blowout E3 2018 with a release for May 2019 or sometime before then.Probably slamming this game out in time for Avengers 3: Infinity War, which is set for May 4, 2018.
Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal on Marvel games?

yeah espically noting has been ruled out yetIt still might happen you know... They did tron, why not
If the ban is still in effect (it's rumored to be lifted this year, so who knows), Galactus would be off-limits.Please, please, PLEASE...Make a Doctor Strange game.
The lore and story in Strange's comics is massive.
The Beyonders, The Living Tribunal, Galactus, Dormmamu, Strange coming accross these celestial beings and elder gods and seeing moment-to-moment action on how he defeats them or even just fights them with pure magic spells is something the world needs to see.
Doctor Strange is a multi-verse threat and is imensely powerful. Someone tackling that kind of being with a good story and gameplay would be a godsend for the Marvel Universe.
We would go beyond the physical Earth threats, and extend on to the Universe to fight threats the Avengers can't fight like Elder Gods and higher beings that many don't know exist in Marvel.
Doesn't look like any of the Japanese studios are involved. So will the Marvel characters have Japanese voices in this, or will it be like the MvC games where it'll be locked to English (with Japanese subtitles)?
Shit, you're right.Doesn't look like any of the Japanese studios are involved.
I definitely would've been more interested in Rocksteady games of equal quality that weren't Batman games. I'm not a Superhero guy to begin with, but I also value games that are conceived from the ground up by their creative staff much more than games that are adaptations. I'm a big fan of auteur-driven media and licensed titles are very rarely that.
Altus next for Young Avengers Persona Game
Seems like a case of announcing way too soon.

Anyone else surprised it's not EA that Marvel is working with for these games? They are financially in a better place and have already worked with Disney on Battlefront which I'm assuming was a success?
Or you're going to get some Marvel in your Deus Ex.

EA is busy making tons of star wars games, SE has worked with disney a long time and these are excellent studios who frankly needed something like this because thier previous games flopped.

EA already has their hands full with Star Wars license.
Meh, not really interested in any Marvel stuff so a game developed by my favorite company doesn't change it. I guess it's just bad news for TR and DEUS EX somehow. And original possibile IPs.
All games made after Contest of Champions were prohibited from using Fox characters. That may change this year, but we've yet to receive a sign of that rumor being true (besides the rumor of MvCI getting Fox characters as DLC). Lego Marvel was pre-CoC.The ban is just for the movies, isn't it? This isn't the MCU, so that same restriction might not apply. I mean, Galactus was in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes.

This is terrible news, now both TR and Deus Ex have eventually been put on hold indefinitely.
