Square loves holding on to the subscription model. I guess it must work for them, but I'd be more likely to stick with FFXIV if it was a one off purchase

Game is designed with mid-fight raises without weakness in mind. Fights are still very tough but you can recover if you know how to. It's a real nice balance because it's hard but doesn't get as frustrating.

Nicer looking textures and some better animations, though the big improvements over the Wii U version is the better frame rate and resolution.

I was just listening to the OST today while working and I still think it's the best OST in the series, but it's also my favorite game so I'm biased. There's just so much creeping dread and melancholy in 6's world.
