half of the Xbox owners on this forum probably disagree with half of your statement.Where is that idiot VoostKain, nobody cares about streaming, people want to own consoles and games, not just play them

How much do you think Jade Raymond's severance package was?

Sucks that the team lost their jobs.
It's signalling that the platform holder has a lack of interest, devs won't bother porting games to Stadia now. Dead man walking. It's still only their own studio, not the platform. But the platform shouldn't be far behind.
She did zero at EA and zero at googleShe was the producer on some of the biggest surprises UbiSoft ever released including Assassins Creed 2 and Watch Dogs.
If I was a betting man, I'd bet she has more to give.
This is like getting a solo Victory Royale in Fortnite without firing a shot.Nadella, Booty e Spencer right now:

Remember Phil said google was their competitor. Once the Amazon one fails as well, Phil can declare Xbox the winner afterSoo...where are allvthe people saying Stadia will definitely NOT kill Stadia? Oh, well
Okay VoostRaczI am the Voostkain of Amazon Luna.
It might as well be.If you're like me, you probably read this as Google shutting down the Stadia service.
That hasn't happened…yet. This is just the Stadia game studios.
I am the Voostkain of Amazon Luna.
But was the other Phil who took them down. So I'm guessing this is a Sony move. Next they rehire him and put him under the new SCI leader: Ken Kutaragi! They rebuild Liverpool, re-buy Evo from the claws of EA, re-open London and Soho Studios and 8 Days is no longer cancelled!!!Remember Phil said google was their competitor. Knocking out google as Amazon.
Possible but i doubt it. This has happened so many times with tech, where after a struggling launch, the owner shows a clear lack of belief in its own product, and the writing is always on the wall for that product, no matter what PR they talk about changing this, adopting that in the future etc.So it seems Stadia is pivoting towards "blanket" service - similar to XCloud actually where third party use the streaming for their own platforms like "EA Streaming" or "Ubisoft Streaming" etc.
Considering that Google has quite a nice coverage they might succeed there.
Next summer dont miss The Curse of Phil Harrison, available in VHS.It amazes me Phil Harrison keeps getting hired. He was part of Sony during the PS3, Microsoft during the Xbox One and now Stadia.

No the thing is that they are shutting down their internal gaming division but not the platform itself. Platform itself is nice though but I am not sure that Vulkan API is a requirement to use it or not, because Amazon just went with Windows and that's it.Plus it stops third parties from also having confidence in Google and Stadia itself.
Thats true, but the problem is how many gamers actually want to do that in the first place?.I'm not counting Stadia out yet. They are unique in streaming so far as there's nowhere else you can stream Cyberpunk or AC Valhalla or Hitman 3 or Immortals.
This guy kills everything he touches its fucking hilarious
You don't need hardware for stadia. All you need is a broswer (or app) and an internet connection. That's the way to go. Few are going to buy hardware to stream games. An app in devices they already have could have more reach, though still has the barrier of having to buy a controller for people who aren't already gamers or hassle with syncing and controller back and forth between whatever console and whatever streaming device if they only have one pad.
In an case, a main appeal of streaming content is being able to access it on gadgets people already have. If there's a future in streaming gaming it will be on apps built into TVs and in all mobile devices. Otherwise for the core gamer market, PCs and consoles with options to buy games (physical or digitally), pays or services like Gamepass to download and play games ano streaming services on those platforms already reach that market. Only question is if there's a big enough market of people out there who'd pay for a streaming gaming service who aren't currently willing to buy consoles or a gaming PC, and who aren't satisfied by mobile games. I'm skeptical there's much market there.
Where is VoostKain?
Why would they buy more studios if they are giving up on internal game dev? They are probably gonna buy some studios now guys and gals; we aren't rid of this yet.. almost no way Google gives up w/ Amazon and Microsoft still bulllish.
Amazon is essentially doing the same thing; while launching LUNA they kinda are giving up on internal game dev.
Well are they actually shutting down Typhoon Studios? Why would they buy more studios if they are giving up on internal game dev?
Oh shit, I forgot about this. Journey to the Savage Planet was really awesome, it'd be such a shame for such a talented newish studio to go down with this shipStadia bought Typhoon software in 2019 (Journey to the Savage Planet) so I hope they get saved somehow.
Well unfortunately (IMO), this likely means some big paid exclusive deals.Typical half-assed investment by Google with everyone scratching their heads as to why it's not working. Games were Stadia's biggest issue. Exclusive games a huge one. It takes time and hundreds of millions of dollars to make great exclusive games.
Google has ADHD as a company. The tech is excellent.
