The entire Internet called it... well, minus Voostropublican Gate. Unless he was arguing with himself on here.called it. google gonna google. with Phil harrison on board makes it even quicker
She was the producer on some of the biggest surprises UbiSoft ever released including Assassins Creed 2 and Watch Dogs.
If I was a betting man, I'd bet she has more to give.
Yep. Streaming ain't the future. All the streaming services suck as far as I'm concerned

They tried their hardest to shake what they had, but nobody was buying.
Xcloud app on smart tvs or bust.
Microsoft now have more power to purchase publishers. Google's out of the competition. Now it's Amazon vs Microsoft
Lets hope Amazon gets cold feet with that fucking massive crucible failure and they completely pull out too.
I can't waitnvidia geforce now is already way better.
those with a shield, please give it a trial
Hmm, Google > Microsoft more like it.Of course. Microsoft > Google
Basically lol![]()

Focusing on Stadia’s future as a platform, and winding down SG&E
We’re expanding our efforts to help game developers and publishers take advantage of our platform technology, and winding down SG&E.blog.google
This is simply the press release before THAT press release. They don't want to come straight out and say the service is dead while they're trying to part out any valuable IP. No, they'll make it seem like everything is chugging along just fine until they parted it out and have their wind down plan in place. They won't make it even a year.I know this isn't the shutting down of Stadia, but it does mean that Stadia is not going to have any exclusives. Without exclusives how are they going to compete with Xcloud, PSNow, or even Amazon Luna?
Feels like a lot of Google's other half hearted ventures that they eventually give up on. I give Stadia another 18 months tops
Sooo... Shannon Studstill is out of a job now?
This is what will happen to all streaming services that only focus on games. Not enough of a target audience. Majority of gamers will always choose hardware whether PC or console.
Game streaming will only really fly among the casuals when it's included in a service targeted for the casuals.
Maybe I'm a casual? Honestly, the ability to almost instantly load up a new game without having to worry about downloading and installing or managing drive space is fantastic and I think something any gamer would appreciate. Gaming with Stadia is just so seamless and easy. It's a fantastic platform and I would probably be all on board it if I didn't already spend a bunch of money on a gaming Pc last year (and if there wasn't a question about its long term viability).
It's the "agile" corporate culture my friend. Staff really took that shit on board. Fail fast or something like that. That's Google for you. Access to near unlimited funds, scalable technology, and the best talent in the world willing to work with them, but they refuse to cultivate anything that isn't an instant success. What a shitty way to manage a technology company really. It must drive many young and hungry engineers nuts.

Is Shannon Studstill going to come back to Sony Santa Monica?
What was Jade Raymond's output at Stadia?
In fact, when was the last time she had any release since she left the Assassin's Creed team?
Classic Google. Thank. Lemme find a gif to insert like everyone else.
