Credit screen lists :

So it's a HAL game. Interesting. Wtf kind of cameos is this game gonna have with the rest of those credits?

It's actually a remake of the 64 game for the third Time The s nes Is different right
Starfox 64 is a remake of the SNES game in the vein of RE:make. The same, but expanded. Core story and levels are the same but it expanded with other things like new vehicles and levels.

I was waiting for that prologue scene at end to turn into a stealth teaser for a Dad McCloud game... kind of surprised a title card didn't immediately pop up with a 2028 date or something as it faded.

I can't tell if the comments here about Katt are NeoGAF satire or not. I'm like 90% sure it's satire, but sometimes I can't tell here lol.

I wonder if Namco worked on this.

Didn't Bandai also worked on Assault? Seems incredibly different though. Not sure.

It looks like a cat that can fly a spaceship. I guess I don't see the big deal.

Usually happens when you avoid talking about the matter. That fact people find her design trash doesn't mean people want her "fuckable". Thats on you next time.

I think they're doing a bit and taking the piss out of GAF lol

Wasn't expecting this at all, looks great! I think the only nitpicks I have is some of the voice acting and I kind of wish they looked less like realistic animals, lol.

Poor cat looks like she's on fentanyl man. :lollipop_crying:

Listen I don't want to seem like I'm trolling here, I'd give you that the stages look super cool and if there are some new surprise additions like a post-game stage or something that could be super kino. But the cat looks fucked up.

Characters are a little jarring going for more realism, but the ships and environments look cool, along with the expanded content.

Hopefully if this sells, they'll make a new actual entry in the franchise at some point in the future.

3DS version was fantastic, loved it in stereo 3d so I don't really care to play it again flat even with upgrades.

But surely, they're using this remake as an opportunity to build a new StarFox engine, that will be for a future Switch 2 sequel, yes? Seems extremely likely. Maybe a prequel with Dad McCloud as I said earlier.

She "sounds"? Dude what about how she looks?

Ignore the trolling tendies, you're absolutely right lol. It's not even something exclusively of her, the entire cast is ugly as hell now.

No, that's the copyright for Smash Ultimate. Nothing to do with Star Fox.

Correction; Namco, before they merged with Bandai's game division.

Aw come on that's being very pesimistic, it's like admitting they would never be able to make a better game. I believe they could, if they focused on making cool levels to fly through and forgot about any kind of shitty gimmick.
No he's right. Me and you even discussed this in the previous thread. In a rare sight, Nintendo is deciding to do the opposite of what they normally do and instead develop a remake directly for a fanbase.

Maybe they truly don't know how to innovate with this franchise or maybe they have given up trying, but those reasons don't matter for now.

So, congrats out there to Starfox 64 fans who wanted this. You finally got it in all it's glory.

I think you're on to something. A prequel with this engine makes too much sense.

Would love for that to be the case. Could mean the return of other franchises like F-Zero or Wave Race. (Just hope they aren't just remakes lol)

Ah, but I don't need a map:

And you'd know, don't you piratilla?
Gilipollas :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Te quiero

Yoooooo this looks amazing

EDIT: Also can't believe that Nintendo acknowledged that Star Fox Adventures existed lol

Looks awesome, probably best looking Switch 2 title so far. As for the "it's another remake", I'm very interested in sales numbers for this. You guys will be surprised, there's a reason Fox showed up out of nowhere in the Galaxy movie, there's a huge target audience for this that never played this game before. And for those who skipped the 3DS one like me, I can't remember shit so this is a day one.

In one hand, it kind of sucks that after all of this time since the last StarFox game, all we get is a "remake" of the N64 game.

In the other hand, it does look DAMN good, and I haven't played the N64 game since it came out. I'm sure it will be fun as hell and hopefully not the full $70 Nintendo fun ticket price. Hopefully $50 or thereabouts, since it is technically a remake.

In the 3rd hand… having a NEW StarFox game would be really, really nice, Nintendo.

Meh. I'll play it because it's Star Fox. And it looks good, no doubt. But another fucking remake? At least remake Adventures or something.

TBH remaking the OG again is a bit tiring.

The bit with James looked more interesting.
That prologue is such a tease and made me realize how much I wish we had a game that featured James. He's such a cool character.

They won't do it, but I'm hoping they have an unlockable or some DLC that lets you play the prologue mission in this game.

This just popped up for me OUT OF NOWHERE

Always can count on Nintendo to bring some hype. Not BS rumors, not toxic woke/anti-woke garbage, not "hear you" talk and access media puff pieces, not stupid service decisions they take five days to issue any response on, not misinformation campaigns for games due to placating a hostile customer base segment for years & having questionable narrative elements in several big releases for the past few years already.

Nope. Just some good 'ol quality gameplay of a (remake) of a fan favorite. This is looking pretty damn good. Imagine if SEGA gave even half this level of care to the Panzer Dragoon remakes, then we'd be eating REAL good with new 3D rail shooters this gen!

But for the love of God, Nintendo, please fix the thumbnail video framerate in Game Chat. The slideshow is embarrassing and not doing Switch 2 any favors 🤣

Nintendo is creatively bankrupt as fuck. That remake looks like one of those "Nintendo give this guy a contract" YouTube video.

They can suck a bag of dick and I really hope the portable ps6 is real because while I can't be arsed with a tethered console anymore, Nintendo is just so fucking lazy.

You're complaining about a remake to a 1997 N64 game, when SIE literally did a remake to a 2017 PS4 game last friggin' year.

Last I checked, PS5 can play PS4 games perfectly fine. Which made the TLOU Remake unnecessary too, in a sense.

Photorealistic visuals ain't my thing for this game.

You know if they went with a cartoony look people'd be complaining it looked like a Switch 1 game.

Leave it to Nintendo to remake the SNES game for the 3rd time and have MFers being okay with this fact lmao

It's not yet another boring GAAS trend-chaser, nor some overindulgent and likely-preachy Western AAA single-player game. So it's already better off than 60% of the games on the market.

This is the first time they've ever shadow dropped a direct, right? They're changing the damn game on us.

IIRC, yeah.

You're right. After getting over the fact that this yet another SF64 Remake, I can safely say this is the best looking game Nintendo has ever published.

Character design isn't my favorite, but I do like the overall "live action" affect they give off. This game is cinematic as hell.
