Cool, I played a lot of Starlink: Battle for Atlas when that released on switch kinda hope this new Star Fox takes elements from that when it comes to going in and out of atmosphere.
EDIT : Ok just got done watching video, Shame it's still limited by old game design I had hoped they would have done major shake up since we've seen games like No Man's Sky and Starlink.

I think the new Star Fox game looks absolutely fantastic personally and it is terrific to see Nintendo finally doing proper remakes instead of taking the lazy bump-up-the-resolution-and-framerate-and-call-it-a-day approach they normally do for all their previous re-releases on new generations of Nintendo hardware. It looks to be making good use of the Switch 2 hardware.
While it would have been nice to have seen a proper sequel rather than a remake, at least there is a strong chance that they can do a proper sequel using the same engine and character assets if the remake sells well. It also leaves me a lot more excited for the rumoured remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Both those games are much-loved classics that I adored on Nintendo 64 back in the day and I haven't played either in years, outside a brief stint on the PC Dolphin emulator which can only do so much, so really excited to play both Star Fox and hopefully Ocarina of Time again later this year.

They remade Link's Awakening, Super Mario RPG, Thousand Years Door, Mario & Donkey Kong, Kirby, Famicom Detective Club, Advance Wars 1 + 2, Let's Go Pikachu/Evee, Diamon & Pearl, and Metroid Prime was almost a remake, what are you on about ?

A bit bummed it's yet another rerelease of Starfox 64 but the game is probably the most underrated of Nintendo's classics, it's a legit masterpiece of arcade style gaming easily on par with Mario 64 and the two N64 Zeldas, really hope this sells well.
The art direction took me by surprise as well but one thing I found interesting is that it reminded me of something they said when they revealed the Switch 2, basically that with the first Switch there were some games that couldn't be done because of the hardware limitations, but now with Switch 2's added power they can make weird pseudo realistic artstyles like this again instead of being essentially forced to use cell shading or very cartoony styles.

Most of Nintendo's re-releases are just lazy up-rezzed ports, let's face it. They really don't put much effort into remaking many of these and take the cheapest and easiest option.
Of those games you listed, I've only played Link's Awakening, Super Mario RPG, Mario & The Thousand Year Door and Metroid Prime. The former two I've never played before so I cannot comment on the visual upgrades but Link's Awakening might have looked nice but it had performance issues on Switch that put me off playing it until I got a Switch 2. Mario & The Thousand Year Door was disappointing; it might have looked slightly better visually but it ran at 30 fps instead of 60 fps so felt like a downgrade. Metroid Prime was very good but it wasn't really a remake per se; it was more of an enhancement of the original and when I played it it pretty much looked how I remembered it from the GameCube even if the reality was the graphics were improved.
