Extended spot (Via the trek app) has the Enterprise faling down and really fucked up into the atmosphere of a planet... can't wait to see what the hell leads to that.
Adama was such a boss before, but that move gave him super boss mode.Fakeout manuver to launch the vipers.

That was such an incredible moment in that show.. thank goodness the CG held up for it, too.
Best scene in the entire show.

best sci-fi moment since i've seen AT-ATs at age 5.
JJ just keeps trolling with the "who the hell are you?" bit. Just say it already, I'm pretty sure the movie will be interesting without the mystery..........oh.
could someone post a link to a video of that scene? I suppose that happened post-season 2

Man, Bear McCreary's score for that series still remains my favorite for any series to date. Without the dialogue it still adds tons of tension to that entire scene.

I don't even know what the pings are supposed to be, but I like them.
No Sylar? Awful trailer.
Good, fucking worst actor in the films by far.
edit: BSG's got better space combat than these films will ever have.
edit: i'm just glad that i don't see quinto in any films aside from this series. keep him contained from the rest of hollywood

That makes me think of a geek argument: assuming each side had equal technology and weaponry and equal familiarity with it, who would win? Adama or Kirk?I love that this thread became a love letter to the Adama Maneuver.

Of all the sci fi space commanders, in that situation I think the one person that would come out of nowhere and fuck shit up is Ivonova from Babylon5.Sisko.

I feel like she would fight a helluva lot dirtier than everyone else.
Listen to me, Covenant. I am Vice Admiral Preston J. Cole commanding the human flagship, Everest. You claim to be the holy and glorious inheritors of the universe? I spit on your so-called holiness. You dare judge us unfit? After I have personally sent more than three hundred of your vainglorious ships to hell? After kicking your collective butts off Harvest - not once - but twice? From where I sit, we are the worthy inheritors. You think otherwise, you can come and try to prove me wrong. Is that the best you can do? Watch what one unworthy human can do!

Snap.Adama wouldn't need to cheat to beat the Kobayashi Maru test.
Well, to be fair, the first ST movie didn't have many space battles.
In 1990s, I remember HBO airing the first Star Trek in some horror fest..... Not sure what they were thinking. Creepy alien ship doesn't mean horror.
