Well that's news to me, specially since the Galaxy of Heroes mobile Game has "EA" shoved in the title, icon and screen...And that game has content from all the eras, even TFA...as this game should.
People Defending the fact that they just took an unlockable skin and gave it an alt costume then proceeded to call it a brand new character (Let alone a Hero) and charge for it...is mind blowing

As I've said, Nien's homeworld is Sullust and Greedo worked for Jabba.
But no, not thematically consistent at all.
Try not selectively reading. I said that mobile and console licenses are separated. EA has both, but their license to make console games is different from their license to make mobile games.

Nien Nunb's better than Greedo. All Greedo does is get shot.
They do though, Nien is from Sullust and Greedo was Jabba's thug. The expansion takes place on Sullust and Jabba's Palace.

It's not like we're lacking actual star wars heroes to choose from. But nah, I'm sure people were begging for Greedo to be in the game.
I'm not arguing their inclusion, just that they absolutely fit thematically.

Nien has a big role in the new canon novels. He has a major role in the Battle of Sullust which is described in the tie-in novel Battlefront: Twilight Company.
But hey, people seem to find any excuse to bitch about this game. We've got three more DLC packs and at least 2 more heroes. The heroes are extra content compared to Battlefield 4 as a metric for DLC content.

Because these are the only Heroes they are going to add to the game. Like ever.
Not to mention the most recent Tweet giving a vague comment about there being many more possibly beyond the assumed 4 total.
Make it for a new special gametype, rebels vs the Rankor, actually use some of the frostbite destructibility. That sounds instantly more interesting than Greedo but whatever.

Kind of... underwhelming, especially without any actual screens or footage of the new maps. Not being on a new planet is pretty "meh" as well, even though we've known it wouldn't be. At least there's something to look forward to with Bespin and the Death Star.

Just because there are going to be more heroes doesn't mean that you're not allowed to express disappointment in what equates to 1/4th of a $50 cost. And there are a ton of better choices than Nien Nunb to fit the Outer Rim theme.

Well when a statement is written like an absolute, and absolute response will be given.
I do find it ironic though, that the main complaint is about heroes you have a 3-5% (tales from my ass but probably accurate) of actually using in an average play session. I am in it for the maps, weapons, new mode, and power ups.
But carry on.
About damn time they announced the first DLC. I'm glad I didn't buy the season pass for this at launch or else I would have been pissed with how long this took. At least with a game like Call of Duty, you know what you're getting and more importantly, when you're getting it.

Heroes are an intrinsic part of the Star Wars power fantasy that is Battlefront. So of course it would be one of the main points of focus.

Four maps isn't bad and they look nice based on the screenshots. I just hope the weapons are good because the heroes certainly aren't enticing me to get this.

And besides Chewbacca (which we "know" is coming) and Obi-Wan (I am hoping), they already have the most iconic ones in the base game.
Everyone else's suggestions not Chewie or Obi-Wan, are as 'impactful' as these two.
On a side note, Tarkin, lol, come on people. Veers was a frontline commander, Tarkin was strategist that dealt blows with words. And the dude is like 75 with no force power. He will break a fucking hip.

There's also Yoda, Lando, and R2-D2 (which would be an interesting choice). These heroes don't reuse head assets either which is the other point of contention with regards to the two heroes they did choose.

Greedo is pretty iconic for me, at least growing up as a kid seeing the originals. The Han shoots first moment is burned in our brains. Nien Nunb is to me too, as far as his look. Maybe being used to Sullustins from SWG over the years, etc., also helps.
Do not worry, there is another 3 packs left, and this will all be forgotten when Chewie or Lando or Bossk or IG88 is announced for the Bespin pack.
Yoda took no part in the Galactic Civil War. He was in hiding. As much as people loved him jumping around in the prequels, you will not see him in OT canon fighting in battles he would have had no part of while hiding from the Empire and their mass amounts of Jedi hunting.
There is still a chance in the Bespin pack, and would make more sense for Lando to be there. And Han removed from those maps playing field.
R2D2, now you are just being silly. They do have droid power-ups that auto-shoot at enemies, so that is covered, lol.
They already hinted on several occasions that they have made/making several models beyond what you see in the game. But I know, gamers vs. devs, and their laziness to just re-skin, even thought the bodies are completely new.

Doesnt make sense to add Lando or Chewie when you maps are based of Sellust and Tatooine.
Lando/Chewie fit way more with the Bespin DLC. People really need to stop with that overreaction. There will be more Heroes and DLC packs.

How would you see Yoda or R2 implemented? It's just impractical.
I could see either Lando or Chewie being the hero for Bespin, depending on how hard it is in Frostbite to have something like Chewie rendered. I'd hope Ben would he the hero for Death Star.
I really don't see how the heads are a problem. Is it a problem that Leia, Han, and Boba all use weapons that are available to regular infantry?
Well, shit. If you're pulling the canon card, then Greedo shouldn't even be an option. It should be Zombie Greedo with a hole in his head.

Battlefield has this timeframes, CoD... I dont see the problem. I always read that "thank god i didnt buy the season pass" and i just dont get it. People saying this already know whats to come in future packs or did i miss some news and footage?
The game already got FREE Content Packs with another one dropping this month alongside this pack.
And i really dont get the issue here so far. We even havent seen all the new Maps in action etc.

Do you feel the same way about every multiplayer game with DLC? If not you are being a hypocrite. They've released/will release 5 free maps (2 small, 3 large) by the time the March patch comes. I think that makes up for the lack of large maps at launch just fine.

Man, I hope Dice isn't as creatively bankrupt as the people immediately writing off R2D2 as a hero. That could actually be really cool and different.

I am not, Disney and LucasArts are. They submitted it for content approval, and it was approved. I am willing to bet if Yoda/R2D2 were submitted (and it would be stupid as shit in the context of the game), the licensing rep would be like, "Are you fucking serious?"
