Never heard of any of them before, except Andy and the original cast members.
They were both well established and well known, from what I recall. They may all have nothing quite the size of Star Wars before it came along but they had sizeable roles in pretty big films before The Phantom Menace. Liam Neeson in particular (though I may be leaning too much on what I liked for McGregor).
All they pretty much have to do for a teaser is the Force theme/Binary Sunset, a green lightsaber in the dark, and a pan up to Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker for the first time in 32 years. Tickets will be sold.
Neeson was fucking Schindler.

Even easier: Vader breathing with a title card.
I don't care if he's in it or not (but I bet he will be...somehow).
Luke has to start off as a hermit on Tatooine, right? It's too perfect not to do it.
That's because it's one of the best moments in the series (the best).
Is this a reunion?
P.S. I wonder if LOTR fans are pissed that Serkis is in a Star Wars movie.

I'm pretty sure Lucas didn't get any of the cast together for a meeting for the prequels. I'm sure JJ is much better at dealing with actual people/actors. Already looking good.
A little surprised to see so many "Sydow is definitely evil/Sith" here. I wouldn't peg him as such, he's had just as many "good" roles as "bad" roles.
I could easily see him as an old Jedi, although I guess that doesn't fit the timeline.
Lawrence Kasdan is the only reason I will give the movie a fair chance to be something somewhat decent.
Let's hope Von Sydow survives the shooting...
Possibly. Except the prequels were cast with mostly unknowns and look how they turned out.
Vaders story is done. If Disney is adamant about expanding the universe, then they need to establish new character and new villains at this point.
Hell, even better, just recreate this with Old Luke staring off into the sunset. I'd buy a ticket.

*Sniff* No Rachel Hurd Wood as previously rumored but I really like this cast.
Yeah, but even with Serkis - it's not like people are used to seeing his face, so even he can blend in more than most.
I wonder if his role is going to be some sort of mo-capped thing, or if they're just gonna let him act without gluing ping-pong balls to his dick.
I like that cast. And Max Von Sydow has sith written all over him. If thats what they're planning to do with him.
The universe is big. He could have been in seclusion.
Wonder if the English cast members that aren't villains will keep their accents, or mock American ones, given they are lesser known it could go either way
I think it would make more sense for him to be running the Jedi Academy on Yaven.
Kasdan and Von Sydow are my top reasons for being excited at this point.
Ha what? The prequels were cast with unknowns? Haha what?
I'll admit baby and man Anakin were unknowns but that was pretty much it.
Glad they are unknown's.
May it go well....but based on JJ's two past Star Trek movies I'm quite worried.
Especially due to the second ST movie.
Mr. Kennedy shot them into outer space.
This is a pretty solid cast.
Obi wan Jedi figure?
Oscar Isaac

He should be a Solo-ish rogue character.
The table read was filmed - you can watch it on this documentary.
A table read is pretty standard. I'm sure Uwe Boll does them.
Black dude as lead would be awesome.
And if it does happen... Begun the salt wars have.
