That sith mask/helmet is awesome; crazy Reven vibes. Digging those slit visor helmets on the flame storm troopers, reminds me of the snow troopers on Hoth that had different designs for roles/climates.

There seems to be a new design shuttle in that last one too. All of this has a very Star Wars vibe but this is the furthest we'll be visually in the Star Wars cannon in terms of year. Can't wait to see what all of this looks like in motion.

Oh and the Chrome trooper looks badass the details on
her
helmet in the closeup look amazing.

I do agree with what people are saying that from a design point of view these look a little... Rushed or unfinished. But the actual images and costumes are stupidly good.

Do fan sites usually not source their stories? He says they're from twitter but I don't see them on the @starwars page

I'm digging the caped Stormtrooper, though he's got a bit of a "not-Boba-Fett" vibe to him.

...

I say "him" but people are saying this is a woman, and Gwendoline Christie no less (which would be awesome)? Is this confirmed?

Not confirmed but Making Star Wars seem to be pretty sure it's her.

They look.......
Not good.

Something about the layout, or the effects used, strokes, posterized ... Blah

Hell the second one reminds me of that cat picture staring off with the moon in the back

Spoilers? It's the F-ing poster. You'll probably get these "spoilers" going into a theater to see a different movie.

Forgive someone for trying to be considerate?

I'm loving the Troopers, but I'm just not sure about the Sith. Maybe his presence in film will be greater than what I'm seeing in these shitty posters!

I'm digging the character design but I agree with others here that the posters themselves look a bit amateurish.

@Sompeetalay @sapienstellaris Yes, they look fantastic. The thing that makes me doubt it is that it's made only from elements already leaked

Is this true? I would say they are definitely fan made if that is the case.

I think everyone is saying they look fake because of the outlines around some of the characters. Also,
Kylo Ren
and the stormtroopers look funny in the third one. They don't have the outline and it looks like they were shopped out of other pics.

I think they all look great besides the last one.

Edit: Oh and that blue line frame in the second one. Yikes.

I got shit on for posting it in the SW celebration thread, I'm not taking any chances. People are so spoiler sensible these days.

The big design flaw that cheapens the top two posters is the odd choice to have black outlines and standard drop shadows on the characters which cheapens it IMO. The third poster is actually good and follows a lot of the older Star Wars 'montage' posters/covers motifs; it actually looks good too from a design point.

At least we get awesome images in the first two and then an awesome mix of characters for the final one.

Seriously though, they need to fire the guy who did the photoshop work on the top two... If he's the same as who did the third then he needs to stop messing around.

reminds me of darth revan

anyways i love that lightsaber, it's like a claymore. so I'm hoping for some lotr aragorn-like duel at least once.

1st and 3rd are ok, second poster looks really bad to me. The effect on the sides and the outlines make it look like a quick photoshop.

None of them are amazing. Meh.

The first trailer was amazing though so still hyped.

I still can't get past this looking like some fan-film project, the likes of which I used to watch in and around 1999.

They look like they're deliberately overplaying the style and attitude of the original artwork. They're self referential instead of being earnest. I think that's why they look fanmade.

That and they're only based off of the leaked concept art and that there's no source for the images.

Seriously, you might to put that they may be fake in the OP.

Well if that is true then I'd say it's clearly fake but I've never seen them. The troopers with flamethrowers or the villains mask in this quality.

Hmmm... but yeah it looks very amateur-ish.

When you realize all of the Stormtroopers in the 1st poster are one model copy and pasted a few dozen times, it takes away from the posters. I love the look of the characters, just not the aesthetic of the posters in general.

That doesn't look good. Specially the first one lol, awkward posing and getting himself almost stabbed by his own sword hilt.

Can't wait to get some more footage of these characters in motion today. All I can remember is the unquie stance Kylo had in the first trailer and how menacing that could be in different settings.

Also... Everyone, I highly doubt these are fan art. The third poster is surely professional level and the top two are just good, not great... Like someone was slacking.

These are probably posters you'd find in Walmart for kids. I wouldn't be so quick to say they're fake because literally all the imagery in these has never been seen before.

There's a lot of detail too which to be honest, I can't imagine one person doing for the sake of faking it on the day of the Celebration.

lmao, I'm definitely going to say they're fake.

That's way too low quality for anything professional, even if they're meant to look "aged".
Yeah, the more I look at them the more I don't like them. I find it hard to believe that Disney would put something out that looked this amateurish for anything, least of all Star Wars.

But this is true too...
