Stardew Valley being submitted to Nintendo this week for testing/cert!

I got my GameBoy Color with Harvest Moon and it barely left the cart slot.

This one.
Yup, that's the one.

I remember screwing myself over the first year because I didn't do well enough and missed out on getting the magic umbrella that would make it rain (which if I remember right made it so you didn't need to water everything).

Eventually I got pretty much a perfect farm running and got a little bored, but that game didn't have a lot of side stuff to do and Stardew Valley especially seems to be especially packed with content.

YESSSSSSS!

This game is going to make my Switch purchase worth it. It's kinda been collecting dust lately but this and Odyssey will reinvigorate my love for it.

Been meaning to pick up this game for some time but just haven't had the time to dedicate to it on PC/console. The Switch makes it a no brainer purchase for me.

I'm considering double-dipping and getting the switch version. But I played the steam version a lot and I'm afraid I'll get burned out quickly if I pick it up again. Does anyone know how much content has been added to the game since the steam version release?

Need to know this as well. After launch week, or launch month I stop playing.
Reason for quitting: Saw someone else's farm is too beautiful, destroyed my moral to continue.
Now I'm ready to go back.

They've added quite a bit since launch. New romance options, more scenarios with various NPCs, the ability to choose the type of farm you want at the beginning of the game... there's probably even more since I haven't played the game since beginning of the year.

I heard that the game pad controls on console kinda sucked around the time of its release on PS4, have they improved since?

not sure if there was a patch or not, but i got it on ps4 a few months after release and my wife played it for 60 hours and never complained about the controls, so that's something

I've played it with a 360 pad since release on PC. There are a few hiccups, but the controls certainly don't suck, and they've improved its handling in menus + tool use quite a bit. The only issues I still occasionally run into revolve around positioning furniture inside the house.

Man, this week I bought ST Dig 2 , Golf Story, Rayman Legends, decided to grab Thumper this morning, and now I need to do my double dip of Stardew Valley in 2 days? At this rate my Switch library is going to rival my Steam Library by the end of next year.

I'm hoping the digital code will be avaliable for purchase on Amazon, I have 10 dollars of promo credit that can't be used on a gift card.

But man, I am so excited to play it regardless. I really love Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing, and I have a feeling it'l totally scratch an itch I've had for a while. Also, the perfect console to play such a game on. I might postpone purchasing Golf Story for a while.
