I'm not going to pretend I won't be picking this up—of course I will, even though I had to force myself to go cold turkey on this game last year after putting in, what was it, a 70-hour week when I first bought it and getting to the point where I felt I'd essentially won the economic game by filling a whole greenhouse with Ancient Fruit and Starfruit year-round. (I should really dig up that file and get to Year 3, which I still haven't seen.) Time to run a second farm in parallel, try a different biome, side with corporate greed, marry the girl I should have gone with in the first place—you know the score.
But one thing I'm eager to hear about is the controls—specifically, things like touch-screen support for inventory management. When I played on PC there were clearly some things I preferred to do with a mouse and keyboard but clearly some others that I felt would be a better fit for a controller. For such a supposedly relaxing game I tended to play frantically, squeezing out every last drop of time out of my day, working out that StarCraft APM, dumping items in chests or machinery before I ran out the clock at night, using the entire number row on my keyboard and wishing I had more keys. And I haven't seen how Stardew plays on existing consoles, but I don't know if buttons alone would suffice without a touch-based quick-select on the toolbar. Has anyone heard if this is in?
