Hard to tell IQ and stuff given it's phone footage but seems to look great for a Bethesda game. Finally decent animation.
I know you should treat every AAA developer the same but the fact is no-one makes games like Bethesda do so I accept the jank and crap graphics and animation but they seem to have really stepped it up.
I know we had the 45mim hands on stuff with the chessmaster himself but with stuff like that it's more important to consider what they aren't showing you rather than what they have cherry picked.
Skyrim sold tens of millions of copies so if it was easy to make games like this there would be loads of knock offs but I can't think of any outside of the really eurojank stuff which is still miles behind in scope.

It reminds me of Morrowind when you summon creatures, and enemies keep attacking them and never touch you. But it was 2002.
They (Bethesda) just don't care about improving AI, but I'm sure the game will be fun anyway.

First of all, it's an updated version of the older engine. That much is certain.
Just like in basis, CoD still used a heavily modified Quake 3 engine (maybe to this very day I dont know for certain) for games like COD4 Modern Warfare.
And sometimes they said 'its a new engine' but it was a heavily modified version of their old engine.
It doesnt really matter anyway

They finally fixed the gunplay and combat AI. I love the reactivity to enemies being hit.

It's an RPG, not an action shooter. It's the very first encounter. Player is at level 1. No shit melee enemies will focus on a killer robot that's level 20 or whatever.
It's completely to be expected from an RPG game.

I hardly watched any of the videos but it's good that Microsoft seems to finally have a broad appeal must-have exclusive (well it's exclusive-ish - a console exclusive). Feels like the last truly must-play exclusive they had was Halo 3 (or perhaps Halo Reach for some people).

No worries, Star Citizen isn't even a real game. No matter what Starfield turns out to be, at least it's something you can play from start to finish. The team had a vision and executed.

You can play as a melee character but you can't stop enemies from using guns, that would be stupid.

It's a Bethesda game. It has a higher chance of success than failure and I'm sure most folks know that.
