Congrats Chris, been keeping up with you for awhile now. It was on here someone posted a link to your site. From there I signed up to be notified when you were going to be on KS. I'm glad I could help fund that game. Referred a few good guys to do the same. We are all very excited!

Congrats! Will this go up on Steam as an Early Access title (assuming it's greenlit) or will you be waiting until it's primed for a full release?

I think putting Adventure Games on as Early Access is a very bad idea! Its a game where I really want you to experience the game and the story in its entirety when you sit down to play it.

Even the guys that bought into the BETA testing group on KS will be playing through a very much 'completed' experience, with their influence helping in balancing puzzles and helping in story clarity rather than hunting annoying bugs.

I want ALL people to sit down, put on some headphones, and just EXPERIENCE the game, without having the player walking through walls, or the inventory suddenly vanishing!

Also want to let you guys know that I'll be doing an AMA on Reddit in 1,5 hours!

Totally agree Chris. Man I have to say, the early days of following this project were tough. You did a great job keeping the small few of us from the AdventureGamers forum up-to-date, but the wait...So so happy for you and your work. I really hope this is the start of something great for you and your brother. Hopefully someday we'll be seeing that detective noir game we briefly chatted about :D

Stasis: Cayne is a prequel story set in the STASIS universe. It tells the story of Hendry Cayne and the true origins of Cayne Corporation.

I'm very excited about this chapter, because the aesthetic of the Cayne chapter will be different to what you see in the rest of STASIS. (It's a look at what is in store for the future of The Brotherhood!)

The STASIS: Cayne chapter will be completed and released concurrently with STASIS... IFwe hit our final stretch goal of $140 000.

Read that Mark Morgan is involved in this and backed it at the last minute. They've also managed to meet their final stretch goal :-)

Ill be doing a proper postmortem on the campaign! We certainty learned a lot, but I think that everything very much ran how we planned it.

It took us 4 months of planning, and 3 people to get it all done at the end!

Its been SUCH a rush, and an amazing experience. I wrote an update just before we finished, but it pretty much sums up my feelings:

To the 4000+ members of The Brotherhood in the final 24 hours of this campaign

I know that the standard practice in the final 24 hours is a call to arms to spread the word about your project! However I feel that you; the backers, journalists, 'Let's Players',forum and community members from around the world....have gone above and beyond already and I want to take this time to thank you.

Three years ago I set out to create my ultimate adventure game. Drawing on a love of Science Fiction and a burning need to tell stories I envisioned Stasis.

Weekends, holidays and nights; Stasis is the result of hard work and pure passion.

My family can attest to the fact that just before we sent our Alpha Demo, my hands were shaking. The first thought that went through my head was "everyone is going to hate this...people aren't going to enjoy the game. It's slow...it's going to crash..."
I started to get feedback and at first I thought that people are just being kind. They didn't want to hurt an artists feelings. More and more people started to experience the world through the Alpha and I realized just how special Stasis is.

Taking Stasis to Kickstarter was not an easy decision. It took me a long time to weigh up the pros and cons. The thought of having other people put their money and support into my game scared me. To be honest, it still does! I knew that the world of Stasis needs more than a few spare hours to take it to its full potential. It needed MORE of me - and the only way that I could do that is with YOUR help.

This Kickstarter campaign has been an amazing journey. Through Stasis I have met so many amazing and talented people. Kickstarter is a special community that is built on giving - on the power of creating.

I now have the freedom to delve into Stasis and create the ultimate Adventure Game, the game that I wished someone else would make.

Through Kickstarter, Stasis will have one of the greatest composers in video games working to create an incredible tapestry of sound.
Through Kickstarter Stasis will get every waking moment of my time and energy to create a rich, diverse, and terrifying world.
Through Kickstarter Stasis will be ALIVE.

I want to reflect on everything that the 4000 strong collective of people has done; taking an unknown concept from an unknown developer and helping to make it into tangible reality.

Oh fuck! I missed the Kickstarter. I had been meaning to pledge these last few days, but a personal emergency came up (incredibly sick dog) and I totally forgot. Oh well. Will buy it on Steam day one.
