And I'm done. I won't support Konami further with my money. MGO auto-match is still broken, no VAC yet, FOBs are broken too (way too often you don't get reward points when cleaning an event, forcing you to repeat again and again an already boring task), P2P-based matches full of lag, and now paid DLCs to split the alreadyprettymuchdead community.

4 minutes to Humble disappointment.

Also, I've never paid full-price for a season pass, and I never intend to. It preys on the mentality of people to get more things early, but it's never worth it.

I hope its more Assassin's creed I don't have. I'm trying to decide between humble and steam sale. I know humble is going to be the better value with all the games but I'm looking to score the most Asscred for my buck.

Thats kind of stupid though. I mean if one kind of gamer wants high resolutions its the PC gamer, so I wonder why the dev of one of the biggest storefronts on PC wont let me use it in 4k.

im not saying it's smart, it isn't. it was shortsighted of them to lock it to 1080p though i get the reasoning: BPM was meant to make Steam palatable to the TV gamer after all and 1080p was the ubiquitous resolution for TVs when it first came out and remains so.

You're crazy Dogg. Totally crazy. Only lunatics would buy the season pass when you can grind for those fresh characters! I mean, sure, we're getting Juri and I'm very excited to see how her Feng Shui Engine converts to V, and we're getting Urien and I'm excited to see his clothes explode off when he hits V-Trigger.. and Alex too.

But still, only lunatics would buy it early. What are you gonna spend all that fight money on? Clothes? This ain't no Fashion Fighter, I'm not wanting to spend all my money on ten million outfits for Chun-Li..

A hundred outfits for Chun-Li though, that's more reasonable.

£20 on GMG with their 20% off voucher. Now who's crazy!

Can anyone explain to me why the BPM doesnt run in higher resolutions than 1080p? At least I cant choose anything higher than 1080p.

It runs at your desktop res as it's displayed borderless windowed (I've had it at 7680x4320). The resolution options are for UI scaling and I think it even tells you that in the resolution settings menu.

I mean here, have a whopping 4K screengrab on my Dragon's Dogma Steam Controller settings.

ugh, if they added 1 game I wanted to BTA i would have bought 15$ tier, as it stands I will just wait for Rogue sale on steam in a year.

Konami will always have a special place in my heart as it licensed the Saw IP for a year for seemingly no reason other than to sell the first game on Steam again. Thanks, Konami!

yup, glad i didn't jump in on the BTA. Nothing i didn't already have except for Assassin's of the Ninja

Same. I might be able to overlook the uPlay factor for some of their games, but these aren't those.

I'll keep waiting for the inevitable Assassin's of the Ninja trilogy pack, on Steam, on Steam sale.

What all did you buy, just the game?

Also I got 92 hours out of MGSV without any multiplayer, was a lot of fun solo. I didn't bother with FOBs outside of the tutorial one.

Just wait till both are out. I will buy a pascal and skylake pc now (actually already bought anything else besides the mobo, cpu and gpu) and I will see which device is the better one.

Right now on GAF you can already see the same shitty console-warrior shit with the headsets. Some preordered Oculus and defend that till the death (e.g. about roomscale, which Vive will certainly is the better solution).
I'm already invested in Steam and divested from Facebook so that's the way I'm leaning. I'd like to think I'm above the console warrior stuff. Ideally I'd like to test drive before I buy but I'm not willing to pay £30 to try it out in London at HTC's upcoming event.
end of the day it really comes down to who has the best porn!

Guile, one of the original 8, isn't one of the characters that are already unlocked. I never thought that I'd see the day :(

But I already used that buying ROTR. Before discovering that there was a special 27% off voucher for ROTR. Which was a great thing to hear about, I'll be honest.

They already had all the Super Turbo cast back in SF4! Doing that again would make my head explode.

I bought the skins DLC too, but only because I really liked them (well, most of them, the horse and the female soldier ones, I never used those) and I was still hoping for a future chapter 3 release, since Kojima was still in.

I don't even know what chapter three would have besides that cut mission.

you can use vouchers more than once (unless it's a voucher tied to your account...think those are one time use)

Well, that cut mission,at least by checking the video released, really looks interesting, pretty much a totally new location with traps, squad members following you in the jungle etc.
It was really good and interesting, if it was like 6 hours long, it would be an awesome addition to the game, with some cutscenes to clear out unsolved plot holes.

Steam-GAF's Official Ambassador to Gaming-GAF
Twisted Pixel Co-Founder Michael Wilford Departs Studio

Michael Wilford, CEO and co-founder of Twisted Pixel, has departed the studio. He made the announcement on Twitter today, sharing that he will “focus on fatherhood a while then find new adventures.”

Twisted Pixel was founded in 2006, and opted to give up its independence in 2011. The studio was purchased by Microsoft and developed the Kinect-powered The Gunstringer and Xbox One launch title LocoCycle.

The developer’s other credits include The Maw, ‘Plosion Man, Comic Jumper, and Ms. Splosion Man. In September 2015, Twisted Pixel separated from Microsoft, becoming independent once more.

While the studio has been quiet, Wilford suggests that news is coming. “My @twisted_pixel family will have awesomeness to share soon, so stay tuned,” he writes. “Much love and excitement for what’s to come!”

Our Take
Twisted Pixel’s separation from Microsoft came as a surprise, and it wasn’t quite clear what the impetus was. It’s been more than two years since LocoCycle was announced, and it’s unclear what the team is working on. The studio’s earlier games were quite good, and we hope for a return to form with whatever is next.

Not sure if posted, but Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, India and Russia have trading cards now.

so, I bet if cheevos made them money, we would be getting those too, not otherwise
classic Ubi

edited: I see Arslan is 60€ too
currencies, how do those work
edit2: I keep forgetting to post about that Arslan trailer which surely is selling a game. 30 seconds, 20+ are logos, amazing.

Apparently there is a command-line option you can use to increase the resolution:
I hooked my PC up to my 4K TV but Steam is really blurry. Any way to solve this or am I gonna have to deal with it - for the record I have the PC display setting at 4K and font is clear at a system level.

Launch Steam with -fulldesktopres

(Yes, it's ridiculous, but at least it's easy enough to fix once you know)

Unless it's a super duper birthday voucher you can use them as many times as you like and on multiple visits.

One day we'll see the return of Retsu, Geki, Joe, Mike and Lee. And no I totally didnt have to go check up on the cast of OG Street Fighter to see who hasn't appeared in another game since. Saying that V needs more Alpha series characters though having a few characters from III in the mix warms my heart.

Well, guess I am in the minority, but I am pretty happy with the Ubi bundle overall. Gone Home, Rayman Origins, Blacklist, and Assassin's Creed China are all games I want to try out. Chaos Theory is fricken awesome, and my disk version has long since disappeared.

There is a massive sale on Nuuvem atm. South Park is apparently region locked here in Aus, is there a way to activate it on Steam?

Fluctuating frame rate bullshit.. Nope. I can't get excited for their PC releases anymore.

Needless to say this won't get a fix ever.

So, they fixed lack of resolution options above 1080p, but we have even worse framerate issues than with DQH? Well I guess we're moving in the right direction????
how does this happen

Guys is Arslan KOEI TECMO's 1st port with proper pc support or is it too good to be true,

luancher options

Read the above.

Some of those graphics options are just there for show. The game on the highest setting just adds more enemies like OPPW3 did... I will say at least SOME of the graphics options look to work. AA is busted though.

I will say the AA issue can be solved my using down sampling... unless the game is locked to 1080 and just upscales it. I wouldn't be surprised.

Use a VPN; it's only activation-restricted. A US one will do and there are countless free options (FlyVPN, Spotflux, TunnelBear and VyprVPN, to name a few). I'd go with VyprVPN as it offers servers just about everywhere, so odds are you won't ever have to go looking for an alternative if you ever, say, need a Brazilian IP address (FlyVPN's free accounts no longer offer Brazil as an option).
