Guys anyone here knows Gamesrocket? I've just bought Simcity (I know, it's an Origin game) from them, and after the transaction went smoothly through paypal (finished charging), they send me an email saying that I have to 'verify' my order, asking me to scan my ID and take a photo alongside it to prove I'm me. First time this happens. I buy almost on a daily basis from the most varied sites (GMG, Gog, Amazon...), and I reeeaaaally dont feel like sending my private data through email to some small site I know nothing about. Just want to know if they are indeed legit, so my chances of a refund are a bit higher.

don't do it. stay far away from them

I think everybody has armor in casual, which means that if you're a crack shot already, you'd probably do better in competitive. I'm just pulling tales out of my ass here, though, as I've only played for about 5 hours.

The thing is I was getting destroyed in Casual. Talking about barely getting a couple kills and dying every round in a full game levels of destroyed. I haven't really learned to spray control yet either but it still felt like my aim was better on competitive. It's probably in my head but it was so bizarre going from consistently sneaking up on someone and still losing to taking two people out.

Lets do a tiny contest shall we?

First person to guess the three new characters in Super Time Force Ultra correctly will get a free code.

Also the dumbest answer (judged by me) will also get a free STFU code.

August 25th is next weeeeeeek!

Going by your user name I'm going to say Miss Hoover, Jebediah Springfield, and Lisa Simpson.

Not used them, but I remember seeing them mentioned on the official nintendo site for Europe as a reseller once, so you'd think they'd be legit.

I had a look on trustpilot and they responded to someone who had the same issue saying they'd been hit by a massive scam so guess that's why. Really bad way to do it though. I don't like sending ID to companys, and I imagine not many others would.

Just cancel it. A friend of mine had the same problem with HDMovieSource, which is kind of weird since I've always bought from there without the need to do that kind of stuff.

He didn't send his contacts and I'm pretty sure he was refunded. But I don't know how it's going to work out in your case with Games Rocket.

Thanks guys, they do seem legit, as they are also featured in 'isthereanydeal' (the reason why I bought from there). Of course, I wont be sending my information and already asked for a refund.

Also, thanks Speevy, entering that :p

Thank you sir, I'm going with that one then. :)

Also last question for today. I just installed Skyrim for the first time, but where can I find which mods to install and download?

I had a website bookmarked before my clean install of Windows 7 but lost all of my bookmarks.

If I sent you bad rats it's because I care.

Edit: Was Grief.EXE in the group that won't accept bad rats?
Because he doesn't have it.

I feel dirty playing this Tomb Raider. Every one says it's an empty, soul-less AAA focus tested piece o software, but I'm having a great time. Sure it isn't deep, but it is a satisfying experience. Screw the haters.

I enjoyed it quite a bit honestly. More so than the Uncharted series even. Probably because it has a bit more focus on exploration than Uncharted has. That was always my biggest annoyance with Uncharted. You'd imagine it'd be about exploring uncharted territory due to the name, but like, it always felt more like a shooter with set pieces than that. :I

I don't really see many people saying that. The large majority I've seen seemed to enjoy the game. I know I did.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Yep this is a pretty common story with them unfortunately.

It's the reason I opted to remove them from Enhanced Steam's pricing features, even though IsThereAnyDeal.com tracks them.

Question, why haven't we seen an Archer video game yet?

3rd person cover shooter would work quite well, have the proper voice acting and writing, use the same animation style and you can make a pretty solid game I imagine.

I liked it a lot as well. Wish it had been longer.

No way, it was a great experience for me as well. I don't even care about "classic" Tomb Raider anymore after playing the reboot. This can be the new normal as far as I'm concerned.

Which one when I get paid, guys?

Superlux HD668B Headphones

or

Audio-Technica ATH-M30 headphones?

They'd be paired with the modmic. Anybody used both? These would be my first real headphones.

I personally use these

http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B000ULAP4U/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1408417916&sr=1-1

So I can attest Audiotechina has some good quality headphones, been using them for about 2 years now. Just from my standpoint would go with the ATH-M30's if this is the price range you want to stick with.

Ok, got to drop a bit of a review here since i finally just finished it:

I mean, if there is such a thing as a love letter to Sonic, or maybe even Sonic Team design in general, this would be it.

So, the story isn't super important, but for what its worth, basically their are 3 kingdoms vying over an energy source called the Kingdom Stone. One nation is being influenced by our main baddie, Lord Brevon. How our characters Lilac and Carol get involved is by the crash landing of a dude named Torque who is shot down by one of these armies, and obviously has some stuff he isn't saying. Blah blah blah.

I'll give it this much, its certainly a more entertaining story and cast of characters then what has come out of the Sonic stable recently. Its nothing ground-shattering, but the story works, the voice acting is actually alright for a small indie game, and if you can get over the super cuteness of the it all, its fun. However, you can play the game without any of the story, and just enjoy the game. So really, if you dislike that part, you can just ignore it completely.

As for the game-play, do not let the exterior fool you. Well the game certainly takes a page out of Sonic, if Shovel Knight is the amalgamation of everything NES, then this is the amalgamation of everything Genesis. There is plenty of excellent platforming in this game, and it is certainly not all about speed like Sonic, so if you are expecting Sonic 2, you might come up a bit empty-handed. However, there are some great sequences of running and jumping and smacking down enemies all at once that is 100% satisfying. The boss battles though, are pretty much all out of the Treasure Handbook of bosses. No boss battle really feels the same, their are plenty of mid-bosses, and some of the bosses go crazy with the graphical effects. If you've played a Treasure game, you'll feel right at home.

Aesthetically, it has a lot in common with NiGHTS, Sonic, and some more obscure stuff like Astal for the Saturn or Ristar. The music also calls back to a lot of the best Sega Genesis tunes, ones that don't sound like farts or Yuzo Koshiro techno beats. So if you are a fan of soundtracks like Ristar, Dynamite Headdy, Sonic, or Rocket Knight Adventures, you'll dig it.

The game is also pretty packed with content. There are 3 playable characters, that do play in very different manners, and similar stages and bosses, but each has unique content, as the story does branch off at different parts that incentives you to try all 3, especially if you enjoy the story enough to want to see how all the pieces fit together.

They are also still actively working on the game, and plan more content for the future, and it will all be free, so that nice too.

Of course, the game also has plenty of collectibles to unlock, and time trials for those that like to speed-run.

So, if you grew up a Sega kid, or just enjoy yourself a classic 16-bit plat-former with all the trimmings, you need to check this out. If that isn't enough convincing, the game has a demo! So you can check that out and see for yourself!

First thing I want to do is thank CorrosiveFrost for giving out this game in the first place to me. The reason I am raffling it off again is I won it just before I left the country for a week and did not redeem it right away. I got back and after looking at my backlog this is a game I will not be getting to for a while, I still have Mortal Kombat 9 I want to play some more. I feel bad for entering the giveaway in the first place. So here it is, enter for a chance to win and good luck!

Been playing a bunch of State of Decay lately. Finished up the original campaign and didn't end it feeling too positively, I just never got a good sense of flow with it, never really getting a good grounding of what it is I should be doing -- but I managed to get through enough story missions to finish it anyway. Then I started the Breakdown DLC because, well, I ended up picking it up because I had the GMG credit. I think Breakdown is giving me a better grip of things as the moment to moment play of it never felt all that great, the combat is janky and you're really just doing a lot of generic escort/kill quests in between resource scavenging. Breakdown concentrates fully on that as it essentially removes the story aspects of the campaign in favour of a sandbox survival mode, but I'm finding myself having a better time with it despite it feeling as repetitive as ever.

I guess I was just overwhelmed while playing the story; between scavenging, building your home base, recruiting new survivors, doing the story missions, handling inventory space and weight, your character's stamina and skills, switching between characters and building them up, creating and upgrading faculties -- I just never got a good sense of what I should be doing when. But with Breakdown just breaking things down into the sandbox with some overarching goals for character unlocking, I find it more relaxing; I'm just kind of playing it and going building to building looting resources while listening to podcasts.

It's still not all there, but I respect the things it's trying to do. Clocked 16 hours so far, but I don't think I'll be playing much more of it.
