Wait nioh is a koei tecmo game?
Tsk hopefully cdkeys will be selling it for 50%ish by relese date

I hope someone mods out the whole loot grind aspect of Nier and replaces with more standard upgrades. Was the main thing that put me off the game and the hard boss was just the icing on the cake. Loot is never my bag.

That Red Hood DLC for Arkham Knight is laughably short, < 20mins. I didn't even have a chance to take any screenshots as I was waiting for something interesting to happen and it was over before anything did.

Speaking of Diablo and Souls-like, a indie game called The Fall of Light came out recently, anyone happen to have picked it up (I assume.not and it's something most of us will get in a bundle)?

It seems to have the Souls style deliberate combat in a top down Diablo style view, and a splash of Ico throw in with escorting a little girl by the hand. Looks neat.

Via Eurogamer

"The PC version will include two visual presentation modes: Action Mode, which aims for a stable 60 fps frame rate, and Movie Mode, a “cinematic” option with a 4K display resolution. Koei Tecmo's note to press suggests you can't deviate from either of these two modes, no matter how powerful your PC."

So it seems it's a direct console port with no extra graphical options. You have to choose between 4k and 60 but not both? Uh.....well um....I will be skipping this.

lol

I wanted to pick it up but then I decided to wait for a bundle instead. Game looks nice and it seems to be getting some positive reviews on Steam.

That vindicating feeling of reading through old threads

I mean, yea? The Term Diablo-like has been used to describe lootgames for a long time.

These threads are a fun read especially when you see so many people being so insecure by the very discussion of a game not being fully exclusive.

Remember Steamleak?

"Well. Leak must be fake. No way FFX/X-2 is coming out because it uses Sonytech!"
"LOL! As if Gone to the Rapture comes to PC!!!"

Currently (finally) playing through Arkham Knight. Does anyone know if I can safely ignore all the Most Wanted content (for now) and just push through the remaining half of the main-story?

The ending you get depends on how much of the most wanted side content you do but you can start the final mission at any point to get the better endings.

Nioh was initially announced as a Console Exclusive.

Thinking back to how many threads we had to argue that issue with gaming side. What a waste of time.

Oh damn.
Well, I was planning on doing everything anyway. Absolutely adore the game, just like the other two Arkham's by Rocksteady.

Is there a warning before the point of no return?

You need to 100% the game fore the true ending. Or you could just watch it on YT because the story in the game is terrible and hinges on the smartest guy in his world being an idiot. Kinda like the Hush run in comics or TDK:R movie.

There is no point of no return.

It's a very obviously telegraphed mission after the final fight so you can beat the beat guy and then concentrate on the side stuff or take it to YT like mentioned and like I did as there was no way I was doing all the riddler stuff for 100%. There is a mostly good ending for doing like 50% or so of the side content.

So Nioh turned out to be a 9 month exclusive. That is a weird amount of time. Maybe KT could have released it even earlier but they just took their time with the port.

If anything else, the 5 different Playstation Only logos are becoming less and less meaningful. People were so sure the one on the Nioh box meant it wouldn't hit PC.

A big thanks for the replies. :)

Collected everything in both Asylum and City. I'm actually looking forward to finding all of Riddlers trophies and solving every riddle. There's are so many fun details and hidden easter-eggs to be found in Gotham.
Clearly made by and for big DC fans.

I missed that in Origins.

That's both hilarious and infuriating.

100 GB ?? What the hell. Soon, we could only have a handful of games installed at the same time.

There is a part of me that believes these gigantic file sizes are a small means of DRM. I.E. it's hard to pirate *many* PC games when each game is 60GB+

Koei needs a subsidiary for handling pc ports: KT SP, Koei Tecmo shit ports. The porting effort is limited to pulling a half baked exe out of random ass.

As cool as Ni-oh is and would be on PC, I have less than 0% faith in KT ports. I will only buy the game with a steep sale and after modders have gone in and fixed the port.

No chance in hell that this game releases and is a stable, modern PC port. No chance.

I wonder if a preload option is gonna be available for The Evil Within 2. Especially if it's gonna be just as gigantic as the first game in size.

And Nioh on Steam is awesome news.
