I get it, I'm european as well, and the word for black people in my country is "néger"' which isn't racist here at all, but if you're on the internet, you know what you can say and what you can't. And he obviously knew what he said.

Using that word in Sweden is racist as fuck.
So that is no excuse for him to say that.
Just makes it waaaay way worse.

Edit: on another note. The reason why I won't make the 52 games this year: started playing Shiren the wanderer on PS Vita this year. Soon up to 400 hrs...

looking at the most played list, i just noticed there's a total hour count too

i play a fair amount of non-steam games, specially league that is like 2500 hours on its own, but 8k hours feels like a ton

basically out of these last 9 years i've spent at least a year of them playing videogames -___-

Oh man 8 wasted years.

I've been spending some time with Dark Elf and I find it fascinating how in this game you have to go out of your way to actually unlock the lewd parts of the game.

Played as a normal RPG, which means picking up a quest and completing it trying to not lose (which is also difficult, to lose I mean, you gotta do it on purpose and given how little damage you take, it becomes an annoying process) the only lewd thing is the Dark Elf bikini armor.
For something that's originally a porn game, having the clean path be the main part and having the dirty path be the one you gotta go out of your way to unlock... yeah, it's somewhat weird and fascinating. Maybe more porn games should follow such a route.

Yoooo dem SF times tho

U getting in on dat Mahvel soon?

I don't think I'll be picking up MvC:I, at least not on launch.
I somehow prefer the "SleepFighter" style of fighting games, so games like MvC feel way too hectic for me. There are also several interesting games coming out this month (Danganronpa 3, Silicon Zeroes, Stellaris DLC, etc), as well as games in my backlog/on my wishlist that I want to play, and knowing myself I would have to give up on playing any of those if I actually picked up MvC:I.

Rhaknar

The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.
Y'all embarrassed of your high times.

I loved my 1.9k hours in Marvel Hero's, no regrets (Well maybe I only really loved like 1.5k or something but still).

Game is a complete shitshow these days and basically dead but that doesn't change the fact that I enjoyed my time with it.

How do you even spend so much time with a game and then say you didn't like it? The fuck were you doing?

That's a lot of words to say you're ducking me.

And that's Clustertruck done. Single achievement left, for beating the game without any abilities (lol). Probably the most intense game I'll play this year, and a solid contender for SteamGAF GOTY LTTP award (provided Jshackles finally adds this category).

I just watched "IT" and either i am dead inside or that movie did nothing to scare me XD I even stayed cold on jump scares. In the end it was ok movie but i think that game would be so good if somebody would make one.

How does it compare to the original with Tim Curry, if you saw that one? (Which for me was like a 10/10 for the kid parts, and about 6/10 for the adult parts, averaging out to a solid 8)

And of course, anyone who's seen both can chime in.

Just beat 1954 Alcatraz. It uses a 2 protag system like Day of the Tentacle, although the passage of time in the game isn't conveyed really well. You're gonna spend time with one character until you can't progress then switch to the other and repeat til you beat the game.
It is prob. my fav. Daedalic game, despite its slight jank, and the English is good for one thing.

Okay, this was my second time giving Grid a try, but I couldn't get into it. Any recommendations for arcade racers for people who liked Dirt Showdown?

Off the top of my head for now NFS: Hot Pursuit. You may need to look up how to fix the stuttering but otherwise it is a great racer.

I should play Dirt Showdown. I forgot it was in my library.

NFS: Hot Pursuit is a solid choice for pure arcade racing.
Also consider The Crew for its track and event variety, if you can get it at a low price.

I'm also going to suggest Midnight Club II, even though it's nothing like Dirt Showdown, because Midnight Club II is fantastic and hands-down the arcadiest of arcade racers on Steam.

Seeing people's most played games is really interesting.

Yes, I think so too!

It would be very cool to have a "SteamGAF stats" thread. Some people here are really good with stats, maybe it will happen eventually.

Also, I find it awesome that Dark Souls is so frequently in our fellow gaffers Top 10s.

Can anyone here who bought the basic version of Life is Strange: Before the Storm tell me what the Deluxe Edition Upgrade costs on its own?

http://store.steampowered.com/app/554620/Life_is_Strange_Before_the_Storm/

Thinking about buying it from CD Keys to save a few bucks on the basic version. I assume they're still reputable?

EDIT: To answer my own question, the DLC is not currently purchasable separately, and the price of the Deluxe package is currently not discounted by ownership of the base game. Guess I won't be playin the fourth episode til this changes, if it does.

I liked it too. I believe when I gave my impressions I said that it was probably the most Telltale-like of the Daedalic games (early Telltale, anyway, back when they had puzzles.) My favourite Daedalic game remains The Night of the Rabbit, though.

Let me join into the playtime fun.

As you can see, my first is the game I forgot was running in the background from time to time. No regrets though, even if I blame Valve for the half clicker addiction.
I'm surprised, in a way, that Saint's Row 3 is still my most played singleplayer game. It's one of the few that kept me engaged and playing from start to finish and kept me coming back, unlike many other games that I didn't feel the need to boot up again after stopping playing for a little while. Well, if my HDD didn't die and I transfered my saves, DD would have surpassed it. With that save lost for the time being I don't feel like going back and starting from scratch, as well as remaking my pawn and character.

Too bad WoW and D3 aren't on Steam, though I wonder which MMO would be my top played one, if WoW or EQ.

Why ? i remember so many people loving it when it lunched in early access .... and now when it hit v1.0 everone seems to hate it :-/

I never "loved the game" I just lost track of time with it while playing with my group of friends. We became one of thee big groups on our server, spent way, way too long taming dinosaurs and farming mats on things and then got wiped off the map by people hacking in the game so we all decided to quit.

I was essentially "Guarding" our base until someone else logged on and got on and then I'd go sleep for a little bit and go to work.

That was when they were just about to introducing Quetzals and just put in the Snow biome.

We tried looking on other servers and it was even worse than our original. All I see now with it is just a game that I think is horribly unbalanced for PVP and they've done basically nothing to change that.

My list isn't really representative of my taste's. Since I don't really do the whole "I love this game so i'll play for hundreds of hours". Like my top 10 are just games that took me long to beat or games that messed up while idling.

usually when you love a game, you get back to it more than games that you hate, thus the hours accumulate and it can be a representative though.

but yes, on the other hand there are several games that i wouldn't rate more than "kinda enjoyable" (like fallout 3) but the hours spent makes it seem like i loved it (around the 100h mark)

I uh...bought that Sakura humble bundle....don't know what I just got myself into.

Worth it.

I played Spirit, Angels and Beach in the past few months.

Got to finally play Fantasy thanks to humble bundle.

Finished it today - I like it.

Its short and okay at the most.

3-4 hours though Fantasy took me 2 hours because I was reading the lines and didnt bother waiting for the japanese voiceovers to finish.

This is what I rated the ones I played so far.

Sakura Angels (PC): 77
Sakura Beach (PC): 70
Sakura Spirit (PC): 70
Sakura Fantasy (PC): 81

You shouldn't be allowed to post in AnimeGAF thread (this one) if your most played list doesn't look like this (ignore the top one) :p

EDIT: you should also have at least one banned game on it! (i have two)
