edit: yay, new page. Having GAF set to 50 posts per page finally pays off, I guess.

Oh man, I know. I would love to have a modern machine in an iMac shell.Tobor said:The original iMac was a sweet computer. I was a total PC loving Mac hater at the time but even then I could appreciate the design.

Both with Pixar and Apple Steve changed entire industries. I can't think of many others who've done that, he and Gates are among the most influential people in recent history.3N16MA said:iPhone keynote from Macworld 2007. Steve looked so happy.
I love OS X but OS 9 holds a special place in my heart. One of the most light-weight OS I've ever used.AbsoluteZero said:Fuck, if Apple decided to bring out a anniversary edition of the iMac, internals exactly as they were back then at the same price it was then, I'd buy one without even thinking about it. I always wanted one.

I think the iMac pic is from...'98. and the iPhone pic would have been '07. It looks like he aged 20 years in that time.

Same goes for the iBook and iPod. I'd love first editions of those as well.

its seeing him in that damn gown with the boney knees poking out and his blank stare off in the middle distance.
that and the lighting and messed up hair just adds up and makes him look like hes lost his faculties.
its the sense of helplessness the picture implies.
it may very well be an exaggeration of his condition due to various circumstances when the pic was taken but its more depressing than just seeing his skinny butt on stage in public.
Edges from black to nonblack tend to result in blurry lines along them with the (naive) JPEG compression scheme.Zen said:I think the pitcure is fake, look at the blurring where the skin meets the shirt beneath his chin, in the close up picture. It looks to me like a really good shop.
Money and knowing the right people. They got a freaking shot at MJ in the family funeral or something, right?Guardian Bob said:How did TMZ get a shot like that i wonder?
Right now I might just build a webpage myself to do the hosting, but if that doesn't pan out probably just youtube since other video sharing sites have such limited space/bandwidth.dream said:Have you found anywhere to dump your Stevenote collection, giga?

They were amazing at the time but I don't think it's aged well. Still adore the design of the iMac G4, though.Tobor said:The original iMac was a sweet computer. I was a total PC loving Mac hater at the time but even then I could appreciate the design.

It was less than that. He was diagnosed in 2003. Pre-2003 and post-2003 Jobs look entirely different.Dreams-Visions said:this transition in aging is...less than 10 years.

I have an original Bondi Blue iMac, very first run. I tried and tried to get rid of it so I wouldn't have to move with it. Nobody will even take it for free. You must be the only person in the world who feels this way.AbsoluteZero said:Fuck, if Apple decided to bring out a anniversary edition of the iMac, internals exactly as they were back then at the same price it was then, I'd buy one without even thinking about it. agreed. fucking tasteless.chaostrophy said:Personally I wish people just wouldn't post paparazzi photos, especially of people dealing with serious illness. It takes a special breed of scumbag to violate someone's privacy at a time like that by taking their picture, and I don't want to reward them with my eyeballs.
