yeah, also i guess if i'm lookin for shennanigans, ryu's prolly not the char to main. we'll see what ken's got goin on in a future beta.
edit: I still feel like something should be able to follow up an air tatsu.

The thirst is real.
I think it's a nice change of pace. Instead of fueled anger/depression comments from people about not getting in.
After I press a button, it show logging into network, then app closes without error message

I nearly did this, but then remembered I had a PC connected to my TV too and just installed my Steam copy.
But there was hope in those posts. Hope and BELIEVE.
Is that universal for the game? Interesting and good to know.

so, are error messages about having the wrong version and it randomly quitting to the dashboard normal? I'm sure there have been hundreds of posts about this but this is a monster thread at this point. I've yet to have a single successful connection in however many days and just don't know if it's me or the game. quitting to the dash happens almost every time for me now.

No. Depends on the character. Ryu's super can chip kill.

For some reason, I think I heard that "super" chip is the only chip that will work to end a round. Not sure if that's right though.

So the Nash super not killing -- I'm guessing that's because Nash's super does no chip if blocked?

The initial hit of Nash's super doesn't even do damage does it? It just leads to the animation. Makes sense it doesn't chip.
Worst thing is, I have it on PS3 and PC already...it's just to have my 'next-gen' USFIV account on PS4...start-up with a new ratio and all that jazz.
My PS3 total playtime is now at 104 hours, though it includes all my beginner time with Vanilla SFIV (I think?) where I sucked and got my ass kicked a lot of times. Now I start fresh with my mostly trained Cody!

Ken's been my main since SFII in arcades back in the 90s, SSF4 Cody was the first character I liked playing enough to consider changing it up and having a 2nd main, after futzing around with the likes of Cammy, Chun-Li, Akuma, and a few others I'm probably forgetting.

So, if anybody can recall their matches. How many of them were laggy?
I had a total of 31 matches. 4 in which the lag was bad.
Matches I didn't count, were 3 I disconnected from mid match, but were flawless.

Look at Daigo trying to use Ryu's super to chip kill starting from 4:40. Tokido knew this so he used the V Reversal to escape.

I would say around 3 of my 15 were pretty bad on the lag end. The performance was better the later it got into the night though.
First hit of Nash's super doesn't do damage. Only the cinematic part does.
Trying to fix the damned game?
Four (maybe five?) matches, no lag. Felt almost like playing versus next to someone. It was great.
I think I had 7 matches, two with really laggy people and they were both scrubby Ryus that mashed like their life depended on it. I somehow lost both times...
All my other matches felt good though.

Game played pretty bad the whole time. Tons of lag & input delay. I have 50 down/25 up for reference on a wired connection. Isn't even close to the level of Tag 2 or any legit GGPO fighters.
