With all the talk about "blonde fighter V" I decided to make up this handy chart. I even broke the characters up into racial categories (although maybe I shouldn't have, I hope I don't end up offending anyone or sparking controversy...)
If I made any mistakes or missed anyone, let me know. Looking at it, it's crazy that a full half of the white characters are blonde even though in real life I'm quite certain it's got to be a lot less than that.

I only bring it up because it's taking like 5 min to find a match, I get paired with more experienced players and get wrecked. Also the connection isn't great so it's just a poor time for me. :/
I want to say I had more success with quality connections during the original botched beta and one of the "internal" tests. I think I had like 1 match quality connection in the past two days.

Actually his back story is that he's an American who's obsessed with Japanese culture.
You can go to your battle log and count them up manually. I think it does like the last 50 fights or something.

This is great. good job on this.
Truth is Capcom didn't care or think about that shit when they created him. I got Freddie Mercury vibes from him day 1, though. Could be black, white, or even mixed in all honesty.

My reasoning for dudley being black is that capcom sf characters are all stereotypes.

Reasoning for him being Indian are: he doesn't have black features <---point is moot since capcom/japan stay making black characters look weird.
In the end it really doesn't matter, I was only curious as to how so many other people arrived to him being south asian. Capcom loves to put stupid caricatures in their games, see dumb fat white American on a harley.

I've been able to meaty with Birdie's f.HK, if I land just 1 hit late, I can connect cr.lp after. I usually only get it after something like a command throw or sweep though. If the person seems new though, they don't recover and I can just walk up to do it. Only Ryu or Chun with meter for ex sbk seems to just mash out of it on wakeup though. Nash seems just to block it and I don't think I've seen Bison do anything for a reversal.

I assumed he was something like that since his stage is an aztec ruin. I think necalli is supposed to be as well based off his name etymology
A specific move done against someone trying to attack I believe. All characters have a specific move for their crush counters.

It's just that his stage is set there, he's not actually from there though. He's is Greek IIRC.

I think I fought against Cammys that didn't know the matchup but I didn't feel too bad against the couple Cammys I fought. I threw down the banana and it seemed that she either has to spin knuckle or jump the banana. Usually I just tried to chuck the chain, and try to get a read on a jump and if I think I'm unsafe I just cancel the chain. If she spin knuckles over I felt I can jab her out of it easily or just throw her. Also it seems her jump normals weren't too good because cr.mp beat them cleanly but I notice that air cannon strike can beat it at some angles. The hooligan didn't seem too tricky even though it auto corrects its direction, because I just crouch and AA with cr.mp.
Thinking about it, I might try to hold the HP for the headbutt uppercut. Though I'm still unsure of its iframes because I had it get beat by stuff before and had it beat other things.

Was always curious about Dudley. Looked it up and he's "possibly" based off Chris Eubank". Far as I could fine he's just labeled as "a dark skinned Brit" and not officially black. I find it more interesting if it's left ambiguous anyway.
Getting a lot of good matches tonight. Only terrible ones performance wise were with people not from the U.S.

Maybe it was because I had bad lag yesterday when I played Birdie but I felt Hooligan and one her jump normals were way better than that. It felt like the the instant she got inside I basically was done because I had no good way to punish her or get out.
But banana or can does seem to keep them at bay for a bit so if I'm able to keep them away with those shenanigans and get a good read on a jump I can have some sort of chance.
Personally I want to think Capcom made a Black character that wasn't working for Shadoloo and is in fact a different cut from most black characters entirely. In other words Dudley is one of my favorite black characters because he's so unique (and also just a great character).
Anyways, yeah I've also had really good connections. Only two were really bad that I've had yet and they were pretty manageable.

Well when you put it that way, I'd have to agree with you haha. He's by and far one of my favorite SF characters, and video game characters period.
Just clinched out a match against a phenomenal Nash Grandmaster using Cammie's CA. And on that high note I say good night. Can't wait for Friday!

Dudley has never been stated to be Indian.
The former curator of the SF plot guide mentioned that he was intended to be black. Also, he seems to be based of Chris Eubanks, as others have mentioned. Also, Indian characters in the SF canon have always been clearly stated to be Indian. Meanwhile, black characters can come from anywhere...USA, Jamaica, Brazil, Kenya, England.
I mostly had good connection today and last night, so I'm satisfied with this phase. Even better is that the first official phase begin in 2 days. 
I'm already addicted to the game and the full retail release is going to be awesome. I actually love the stripped back approach and was getting a lot of good reads in my last few matches with Birdie (which made me go on a winning streak with Birdie).
