To those who have gotten in, should I just let it sit at the black screen you get when initially launching the game or should I be closing and reopening until I get something different?

You can let it sit. That's what I did. Probably won't make much difference anyway.

Was in training room for 10 minuuutteess!!!!! It feels weird to play it. I just tried Charlie. Everything feels backwards?

His hard boom goes slowest. His light boom is fastest. Problem with this is, you can't combo with hard boom because it is so slow. My old school muscle memory makes my finger hit hard boom. He plays like a cross tekken character almost the way he has chains.

I have v trigger mapped to r2. And v skill mapped to r1.

I'm rusty, but damn. Game feels "heavy".
 
Decided to be a brave man and go back to character select. It worked and I'm trying Ryu now. Sorry everyone else is still having problems! Hopefully everyone at least gets to training mode soon
 
Welp i just got booted out. It must not have been framedrops but lag instead. probably has something to do with the network connection.

Im gonna go get dinner lol. Hopefully its playable in a couple hours.
 
I got disconnected on the Capcom splash screen.

This game is tormenting my soul and discovering new ways to make me not play every minute.
 
Well, I got to train for about 10 min with Nash. The weight and movement in the game feels perfect. Also you have to be right next to the opponent to throw, which is as it should be IMO. Throw range shouldn't be farther than their arms extend for the animation!

Damage is high, combo potential seems relatively low but it usually feels that way with a brand new release. He has a nice lp, lk, mk, hk target combo that does really good stun (almost 50% I think). Not sure what the point of his Iori move is, unless it goes through projectiles or something. I know I mentioned the weight before, but jumps don't feel ridiculous like in SFIV.
Hopefully no rose/dhalsim throw ranges
