Street Fighter V Season 2 Patch Notes Released (92 page PDF)

How about the loading screen transitions? It takes me almost 2 minutes from turning on the game to going into Training mode, it's ridiculous. I can't believe most complaints aren't about this.

Are you on PC? I've been having crazy frame drops / freezing, I think that contributes to it cause I had the same problem. The game is basically unplayable with this patch on PC for me and several others in the SFV community thread.

Wasn't Karin supposed to lose her reset? It's still there. The midscreen EX one as well, apparently.
 
I know I'm probably gonna get jumped on, but what was the reasoning behind them removing i - frames from the shoryus?

I thought that was the whole point? Now it is just a fancy uppercut that can apparently be thrown on frames 1-3 (1-2)?

Yea I mean. That is understandable, but it wasnt like they could just do it for free and get away with it. There was such a high risk/reward thing that has been a tradition in SF for years. They should have removed i frames from all versions, and just left it on the HP one(since it was the strongest, but left you even MORE vulnerable afterwards).

Oh well, I knew this was coming and made sure I picked someone with one of the best AAs in the game. Ya boi birdie. He dont need no i frames.

 Shrunk forward, back, and upper hitboxes that appear during active 2F-5F
 Expanded horizontal knockback on air hit

Anyone having problems trying to get this game to start in STEAM. It's having the same issue that the Witcher 3 is having with me. It only started doing this after this update:

First I play Karen because she's back, then I moved to R.Mika because she's Alpha and had interesting gameplay, then I moved to Urien because I never played much SF3 and liked his look. Now that it seems like he's too much who am I to turn to. Back to R.Mika seems good. Wiffing the clap will hurt but I already have a lot of colors and costumes for her :(. I'm no where close to a competent player too.

Maybe Alex since I have him unlocked.
 
Birdie's cr.mp is a little less all-purpose anti-air but it still works like before for attacks that are just above him. I'm OK with this considering the other buffs. Being able to do st.mp after st.hk is sweet.

Capcom considered meterless DP still too potent for get-outta-jail on wakeup. Maybe because resource-free momentum swing outweighs the CC punish threat.

Seems like their mindset is: if you want to get out of jail, spend meter.

If you're turned off secure boot (uefi mode) to run something like GeDoSaTo, this is what causes this issue. Just bringing this up in case anyone else runs into the same issue. Seems like that update requires secure boot to be on.
 
good news, my keyboard encoded joystick on arcade cabinet now works. Bad news, they dont let u reconfigure the controls......

Under the new music options I can change the music for casual, ranked, training, and local versus. Are Battle Lounges excluded or have I missed something? I really hope that I've missed something.
 
Is there a reason why individual characters aren't available on Steam to buy? I don't feel like grinding fight money and I'm not buying the whole season 2 pack for Akuma.

If you want to use real money for individual characters, you need to do it within SFV's in-game store.
 
I figured out why I couldn't access the in game store. It relies on the Steam overlay and I had MSI Afterburner running which stopped Steam overlay from working.
 
Just got home from work and christ this is a 15 gig update...

It was smaller than that at first, like 7 gigs. I played online against Akumas. Then I noticed the game required a update, 10 gigs... I'm thinking about waiting until next month to update that. Data Cap Life.
 
Make sure you don't have the story dlc selected. For some reason the game always wants to reinstall it on Steam

I game on PS4, but still the loading times are just too long.
I've seen many comparison videos with SFIV and even the newest Guilty Gear iteration and there's no comparison.
Just last night I timed myself in GG and in under 1 minute I was playing in training mode from boot up.
SFV took me 1:50 minutes to reach the main interface menu.
