Can you only use the wired 360 pad with your pc. Has anyone actually been able to use the 360 pad with this game. The remake is awesome I would buy a gamepad just to play this game, does anyone know what controllers work with this game.
Dachande said:I was just using a Dual Shock 2 with a PS2->USB adapter and it works perfectly. Don't forget to set the pad up in the options before, guys.
The USB charger is only that - a charger. When you use it on your 360, it's still communicating through wireless, so it won't do anything on your PC without the wireless dongle that MS will supposedly release.

I have tried it. the controls seem more responsive then the gen's. It works great.Sean said:Has anyone tried the X360 pad with this? I'd rather use that then the keyboard. I'll try it later tonight I guess.
How bout trying Joy2key?Schafer said:360 wired pad works fine, though the game automatically maps movement to the analog stick instead of the DPad and won't let you change it.
negitoro7 said:I'm really impressed by the quality and dedication these guys shown, wow. Now how about a Double Dragon remake (yes, I know about Double Dragon Advance).
How would you guys rank these series: Double Dragon, SoR and Final Fight, taking nostalgia into account?

Hm, well, i'd say FF3 was about as good as SoR3, although they certainly aren't my favorite in each respective series.Mejilan said:...SoR was better than FF... until FF3 SNES hit. That game is DISGUSTINGLY great.
I recognize the new music as being of decent quality, and I have no problems with it being in the game. They obviously put a lot of work into it. However, I do think the old instrumentation was better. You talk as if the old sound chip can't produce valid instruments for music. And if that's not it, then the implication is that these guys are more talented than Yuzo Koshiro. I wouldn't bet on either side of that coin. I'm just saying, it's one thing to say you prefer the new music, but to say other people's opinions are invalidated due to nostalgia... to me, it implies what I've written above.SonfodonCD said:Am I in another world or something, or is everyone wearing nostalgic headphones?
It works fine. You are pressing jump and punch at the same time, right? I hope it's not an incompatibility with your controller.Diablohead said:I can't seem to do back attacks in this, like blaze's leg sweep and axel's elbow etc, but I am realy liking it so far.
Yeah thought so, on the consoles I normally press both together and it would register fine but it's a little more sensative in the remake it seems.Luckett_X said:Oh shoot, was playing and got to the Port and game just randomly closed out. Bit annoying! Such is the way of PC gaming XD
To back attack Hold down attack and tap jump.

Press the ANALOG button (between the analog sticks) on your PS2 controller before launching the game. The light will go off, and it will change it to digital mode.SaitoH said:I have a PS2 controller adapter. You are entitled to your own opinion. But there is just no way I can agree with you about what I bolded.Sega said:I recognize the new music as being of decent quality, and I have no problems with it being in the game. The primary reason? Well, the old chip is just that, OLD. If I had the choice between creating music with the old Genesis chip and today's technology, it wouldn't even be a choice. Technology isnt the same as using real instruments; meaning that a piano is a piano, but the sound chip in the Genny is inferior to the sound chip in the Saturn. I'm not even being subjective here; and don't mistake me for some musical invalid. I went to school for this and do this for a living. (I say this not to show off, but just as a means of telling you that I have a good ear for this type of thing). To be quite honest, if they didn't update the music as they did, I'd say they were extremely lazy.
And about Yuzo Koshiro, of course I never said anything of the sort. If you read what I said after that comment you'd see that I said they essentially went and note for note copied Yuzo's work. How does that signify I think these guys are more talented? If anything, it just says that they have the utmost respect for his original compositions and wanted to be as close as possible without sounding dated in any way. Remember, composition and instrumentation are two entirely different things. One deals with the actual notes on the page, while the other just deals with what instrument plays what. The original compositions are mostly retained here, it's the instrumentation that was updated, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm not complaining about anything. I LOVE what they did with the soundtrack. This was a response to someone who didn't.Christopher said:People bitch about ANYTHING god damn...
Which is why I said it's either the former, or the latter. and not both. Obviously, you confirmed it was the former, which makes the latter irrelevant. I did recognize that many of the songs do copy Koshiro's work note for note, but I couldn't confirm that all songs did that, as I didn't play SoR3. Also, I didn't listen to every note of every song in the remake soundtrack, and I wasn't sure if you were saying you did. I mentioned Yuzo Koshiro's talent, but his talent wasn't only in composition. He also chose his instruments, and IMO, chose them well. Either way, it's a moot point, because you already said you felt that it was that the Genesis sound chip sounds just weren't as valid as instruments as the new ones chosen.SonfodonCD said:And about Yuzo Koshiro, of course I never said anything of the sort.

Yes, but not over LAN or anything. 2 players on a single computer. You can also have the second player controlled by the AI if you want.sega4ever said:is this 2 players?
