I agree with this 100%.

Nine Breaker sounds strange to me, but it probably has some meaning as well.
Yeah, not only is it story related, but its also really fucking badass.revolverjgw said:Syphon Filter was story related, too, the whole narrative revolved around it. Still a weird title, it sounds gross. :-(

Nothing to do with Mickey. It's just that "epic" in the context of games sounds silly to me, it's so oversued and misused. If they actually intended to take a jab at this issue then it's a good name indeed.ItsInMyVeins said:Now you're just trolling, man. I'm not that much of a fan of Mickey Mouse -- I prefer Donald Duck -- but that name is just brilliant in the context of the game (based on what we've seen so far, that is).

I love the series and all, but... Metal gear? Every machine has metal gears in them somewhere...
OMG MY TOASTER IS THE NEW METAL GEAR???!?!

I'm guessing the Japanese were in cahoots with the Germans once so something might have rubbed off.Alx said:Panzer Dragoon (found the dragon, but where is my panzer ?)

Personally, I preferred "Revenge" by a long shot, some of the enemies were simply insane, what a trippy game! The first game kind of seemed like a souped-up Defender clone to me.
Personally, I'd like to nominate "Metroid: Other M". It's definitely one of the most Engrishy game names Nintendo ever came up with.

Is this by chance derived from the Japanese term (can't find a better name for it) "nobi nobi" which means something along the lines of "carefree/dawdling"?

No, not really.akachan ningen said::lol But doesn't it seem like they thought of the title first and then later figured out a way to work it into the story?
