What is that, the fourth time you've posted that list in the last week, Branduil?

Being Akarin is suffering
I don't know if the art is worse, but it is true that the episode was a bit less interesting than most of the episodes so far, as I said in my review, yeah...

YuruYuri 09

Slower-paced episode this time around. It's amazing that there's a character less notable than Akari. I thought the teacher was a student wearing a labcoat at first.
Slower paced, yeah, but it wasn't really a good change...

I am starting to see what you mean ABF

Now you're starting to see! Ep. 2 probably is one of the worst episodes (though not the very worst), but yes, stick with it and catch up. :)

Mayo Chiki 08: Haha, wow, this episode.

Oddly enough it got me thinking about some kind of dating sim game where all the dates were actually fights. You'd have fights at your typical dating sim event spots, like watching fireworks, beach visits, going shopping, etc...
As I said in my review, my interest in the show is dropping over time, in part because it keeps trying to be serious but it just isn't a very good drama, while on the other hand it's also not good at being a generic harem comedy either. It had the potential to be something better than that, I think, but they kind of wasted it... oh well.

As for your idea there... hmm, what about Feel the Magic and The Rub Rabbits for DS?

2005 was a particularly bad year.
2005 was a fairly mediocre year, yeah, but it was probably a bit better than '06 at least... I mean, both years have some quite good shows, but there were a few more in '05 than '06. The problem though is that beyond those few good shows there wasn't that much else worth watching really...

Looking at my '05 list of animes I liked, I mention Nanoha A's (show of the year), Noein, and Mushi-shi as the top three, with Pani Poni Dash, Air, and FMP TSR also being notable.

Well, Manga Entertainment is a terribly incompetent company so it's probably their fault.

As for 2.0, it's like the George Lucas'd (well, visually. no stupid awful changes to the core film afaik) version of GITS:

Yes, the amazing & memorable opening sequence is replaced with CG. Barf.

Thankfully, Oshii is not completely insane like Lucas and lets the original movie out in proper releases rather than Laserdisc rips as an extra on DVD rereleases. Although, the US version of the GITS 2.0 Blu-ray came with a Laserdisc rip of the original movie as an extra, lol. But he didn't have anything to do with that.
What... why in the world do they think that that change is a good idea?

La Fillette Révolutionnaire Utena 22: Stuff finally gets explained (but not all), and it seems we are about to reach the climax of this arc. We go into the genesis of the End of the World and get some hints at what it might actually entail, as well as the ramifications its success can lead to.
Is that boy who looks like Anthy's brother dead? So the other dude that hangs out with Nemuro/Mikage is a robot? Am I taking the shadows too literally?

The use of the beeping hand as a red herring and to give us an insight into the cold and calculating view of
Mikage/Nemuro
to relationships is either totally clever or just obnoxious. I'm leaning for the former.

A Toyota Corolla? Why would anyone buy that useless thing?
A Corolla with manual transmission is a great car, just don't go for the S model because it makes it look ridiculous.

Really now? Don't get caught up on the ironic use of 'waifu', I'm more than open to a conversation on that.
Sorry, I'm easily excitable. I don't think a conversation will be necessary. As much as I would rather like it to not be the case, the girls of Persona 4 are kind of flat. Though I think calling them otaku bait (not your words) is extreme.

Could someone kindly recommend a free, web-based RSS reader that doesn't take hours to update (i.e. not Google Reader). I'd like information when it releases, not whenever the aggregator suddenly decides it's time to scrape the feeds.

So Nanoha A is better than Mushi-shi?

I feel that PdotMichael is the only one here who is still watching good anime.

~$18 an hour is completely worth it. I worked my ass off and was basically hunched over for nearly 2 months and only got ~$2,000.

Well, that sucks a lot. Once it's over it probably won't be so bad, but these feel like the longest 12 days of my life.

Well, I see how little your devotion is now... Why switch? Or do you hate her too?
I just wanted a bro-hug. ;_;

She's back! Come get this hug, bro.
Mission accomplished!

It's the recording industry, you don't make it to the top by being a good singer.
She is part of the creation process. She is an instrument for people to express themselves and the industry support comes from creating good material.

I was thinking "well, this doesn't look so bad" and then that panda kid showed up. Also, does he turn into a grown-up feminine dude at the end?
Wait, that was a boy?

Regardless of gender, I already hate it.

I think we all know what that's code for.

Oh she's an instrument alright.

What about specifically?
They are boring as all hell to drive, look at, hear, or talk about.
Don't get me started on Lexus either.
Many brands offer much more exciting vehicles. Miku could have been associated with a more fun car brand like Mazda or something. then again, I would rather car companies not associate with vocaloids to begin with. The idea seems stupid, although for marketing purposes it is brilliant.

I don't even know how to respond to this.

Proof that there really is a first time for everything. Brandy not having a response to something...I never thought I would live to see the day.

Typing this post on my HP Touchpad paired with the Bluetooth wireless keyboard is quite a hoot. The auto-correct is both amusing and annoying at times.

Hey I liked Gosick.

But not really enough to watch a show that looks like a futuristic version of it just a couple months later. Hopefully it's more than that but that's what it screamed to me watching that trailer.
