Sunset Overdrive: 900p/30fps

Pushing 1080p is still a large challenge when developers ambitions have grown significantly from the previous generation. I see it as a situation where if 1080p/60fps is not one of their priority goals, they will not risk game design to do so.

I just feel like a game published by the console manufacturer should run at native res. For the most part, the vast majority of MS Studios and SCE games ran at 720p on 360 and PS3 respectfully. All of the SCE published games on PS4 are 1080p. All of the Nintendo published games on Wii U are 720p (even a couple going above and beyond with 1080p). MS is the only one doing a bunch of games on their new console below native resolution, and it's disappointing. I feel like Nintendo, SCE, and MS should be setting benchmarks with their consoles, and native res is an important part of that.

Halo 3 was one of the 360's biggest games though it was sub-720p.

I definitely get where you are coming from though.

I don't believe so. The main character is fully customisable though, choice of genders, look, clothes, etc.

Y'know, I maintain the DR3 frame-rate issues weren't as bad as people claimed. There was some slowdown in certain points, but it mostly maintained a decent frame-rate.
What exactly is a decent framerate on new consoles in 2014?

Personally, I don't mind the resolution but 30fps is a real bummer. I just hope it's locked at least.
Still, if it turns out as balls to the walls fun as it looks I'm in for day 1.

That is one ridiculously defensive statement.

Not defensive at all. Never said there wasn't anyone truly disappointed and/or that no one should be but there is a reason why this thread has a faster "posts every 15 mins." rate than any other Sunset Overdrive threads on these forums.

15 pages in less than 5 hours? Yeah, that's not normal for a Sunset Overdrive thread.
