If the DLC things to turn out to be true, I think it would be free for the people who buy the Wii U version (As Wii U version has already the dlc characters in the game, and there is a code to redeem in the 3ds version.)
You know, if Sakurai never revealed that you can pick any color in team battles, then people would discredit the third set of pictures by claiming that Lucina, Ganondorf, and Charizard are all the wrong colors.
Just a funny thought.
Then I politely ask you to make yours without the condescending tone. When my thoughts are met with the idea that a good faker wouldn't fuck up, all you're doing is presenting me with a boring argument that doesn't do anything to add to any discussion and leaves us at a dead end. If you want me to stop ignoring your points, stop disregarding mine just because of your own conjecture about the quality of what we're looking at.
Or are you going to tell me once more that the fakes are too good to have inconsistencies and that there must be a valid reason for these inconsistencies, but you can't actually give me any reasoning because there isn't any? Because if you do that I'm just going to bail out of this thread and let you guys have your silly discussion, because disregarding one side of the argument to satisfy your own thoughts on the matter just seems a bit stupid.
Try not to segue into a different point entirely either.
I'm not, in any way, simply just saying they are too good to be argued against. I'm saying, and have said, that most inconsistencies or issues people have found with them have really reasonable explanations or deductions behind them.
What I am saying is that if its fake, then the levels are something that got overlooked in something that is outrageously convincing and accurate in several ways. Even to the extent that it has showcased stages we haven't seen and one that can be confirmed to be authentic now. It's an amateur mistake on something that is very non-amateur, it's even such a high quality in the image itself that you would have to believe it was intentionally put there. Meaning it was not overlooked, it was intentional.
Or, it could belong to something like Smash Run where we've seen this type of thing before or some minor aspect we're unaware of.
That is not simply throwing away inconsistencies. I am asking if you really think that is the thing they would mess up on because, among all the things it gets so right, that is a really bizarre and amateur thing to mess up. To me, and many others apparently, it's more likely it belongs to something we don't know about. So call me a kid I guess.
It's already been deemed fake.
Could be a "free only if you buy the WiiU version" kinda deal.As per that one ESRB rule, I can understand how they know of the DLC characters if the rumor is legit. However, I'm not sure Nintendo would leave money on the table & not charge for them, especially for Snake & the Chorus Men.
I'm with you 100% agree.
I still dont believe anything NOT in a screenshot, btw. All the DLC might as well have been made up by my little brother, for all I know.

Which RE games have you played? You're aware that 4 was a significant deviation from the previous titles? I don't like horror myself. Didn't keep me from playing RE4 5 or so times.
Popular theory is it's related to amiibos.

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

If they were bitter enough to reject Rayman because of the Legends delay
Downloadable content (DLC) often refers to additional content that supplements or extends a previously-rated product. Many digital products, including video games and apps, will release subsequent updates or add-ons that expand the original products content. DLC or updates that will be appended to an existing, previously-rated product need only be submitted to ESRB for rating if their content exceeds that which is in the existing "core" product. Otherwise, the rating originally assigned to the core product is applicable to the appended content as well. Where, however, the content exceeds the rating assigned to the core product, it must be submitted to ESRB and a different rating may be assigned.
a completed ESRB online questionnaire detailing the game's pertinent content, which essentially translates to anything that may factor into the game's rating. This includes not only the content itself (violence, sexual content, language, controlled substances, gambling, etc.), but other relevant factors such as context, reward systems and the degree of player control; and
a DVD that captures all pertinent content, including typical gameplay, missions, and cutscenes, along with the most extreme instances of content across all relevant categories. Pertinent content that is not playable (i.e., "locked out") but will exist in the game code on the final game disc must also be disclosed.
Why would Nintendo send the ESRB footage of a character select screen that doesn't have all the characters unlocked?
Oh please. If Snake was cut, it wasn't over time constraints. If they were bitter enough to scrap Rayman because of the Legends delay, then it should be pretty obvious why Snake isn't coming back.

besides the Night Trap people, companies don't act like this

I was more sure when I made the bet =(
Interesting stakes. And I love how sure of themselves both sides are.

All I'm going to say is that people are not perfect and you cannot explain inconsistencies with information that we don't have yet. Based on the information we do have, however, there are a big load of holes in this 'leak', if you'll pardon the pun.
Potential explanations and potential possibilities don't mean shit next to the information we already have to make the comparisons.
The line thickness bug that no one noticed
Before the Rayman trophy was revealed, multiple sources claimed that Rayman was planned but eventually scrapped. Even our very own John Harker revealed that Ubisoft wanted Rayman in Smash but Nintendo said no.
So, I wouldn't mind Dark Pit (still have yet to play the newest Kid Icarus however). I'm a sucker for Dark/Evil/Bad/Doppelgangers of characters.
Who said that they did?

I don't think they'd need to show the menus at all, but if they did for thoroughness's sake, you'd think all the content would be on it also for thoroughness's sake. It would be helpful if we knew the precise rules for what must be submitted.I don't think they'd need to show a full character select screen to them reading those descritpions. I don't see why a partial and a full one could have different ratings.

Hm? Wasn't that actually known since the (false?) Palutena leak? It had inconsistent thickness size for its lines, and people found out that that was also in official shots of other 3ds content.

I can see your point, but didn't the Wii U version sell the most? I'm not even sure they were that bitter.Oh please. If Snake was cut, it wasn't over time constraints. I have one idea, it's the handicap levels. I'm surprised no one remembered about those until now.

Uh...That's how you prove something as fake. The other choices are to: blindly accept any picture that comes up as true, wait for the game to come out, or say the oddities are proof of the leaks veracity (despite the logical failure that has to happen for this to occur).Stop using oddities in the pictures as proof of it being fake.
Bro, if you've changed your mind we can call it off. I really don't care. I'm more interested in making a statement that there's a 0% chance the leak is fake than I am of actually changing anyone's avatar.I was more sure when I made the bet =(

Probably. You'd think they'd provide all the context by showing all the characters players can control then when there's really no reason to only show most of them. But it's hard to say without knowing what actually is commonly submitted to the ESRB.I think menus and such in a game like Smash bros would be necessary for "context" and "degree of player control", since it's only menus before and between the battles.

what exactly would be the key difference between dark pit and well,"normal" pit?
