It's weird that that Cialis commercial (which mentions a FOUR HOUR ERECTION) can air, but an ad that mildly spoofs last year's "wardrobe malfunction" (which has essentially itself has become a pop-culture icon) was pulled.

Really dumb.

I think the first Budweiser commercial (with the pilot jumping out of the plane) was the funniest one. :lol :lol

And what was with that car commercial being shown FOUR FUCKING TIMES???? (and one right after the other).

Ameriquest had the funniest commercials IMO.
Yup, and that Degree ad. Those were the best. And the Batman Begins spot of course.

the fedex commercial with burt reynolds pretty much owned alot of the other commercials because of it's blatantness...

i swear when i saw the commercial with the monkeys or the one with the bird, or commercials with a last second flash, and several others, i was thinking "what number was that in the rules from that fedex commercial" and laughing...

:lol Yeah.

But we all know that the commercial with the soldiers coming back from overseas will be at the top of the headlines. :) It was great commercial, nonetheless.

That one was my favorite. For the entire first half, I couldn't help but compare all the other comercials like it.

Batman Begins looked good. War of the Worlds looks decent. What on earth was the Pacifier? Vin Diesel, there's a career not in the tank.

I liked the half-time show. It wasn't over-crowded with a million pop stars. Could of used more boobies.

That Bud commercial with the pilot was great, and the other commerical with the cat, and the sauce, and the guy with the knife.

Odd... I definitely don't remember actually seeing the Brad Pitt ad during the game.

Now, where's that Nationwide ad, dammit?

Eminem

goddamit, Griese!
The BEST commercial, hands down, was the Anheuser-Busch one with the soldiers at the airport. Far and away the best one all night.

As far as funny, I liked the "You're being robbed" one.

Nope, no such problems.

I have to say that this was a very, very good year for Super Bowl advertising -- so many ones I liked. Last year sucked.

It was well-made, but I just don't have much tolerance for stuff that mawkish. The worst was in 2002, when the Clydesdales kneeled in front of the Statue of Liberty... god, that sucked.

The two seconds of Vince Vaughn in that commercial for "Be Cool" were hilarious.

Personally, I thought the MC Hammer commerical was the best. It was just funny that the kids tossed him back over. That was awesome.

Not only is the Superbowl a univseral event (almost as much as the olympics in the sense of viewship), but applauding the troops for carrying out attacking another country under false pretenses? They should be applauded for their bravery, but fucking seriously. Just ridiculous.

Oh... if anybody can get me a direct link to that (as well as the Nationwide ad and the Ameriquest ones), it would be much appreciated.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Came across as quite arrogant, imo. But if there's one thing we Americans are...it's arrogant. :D

(rolleyes)

Had they rolled off the plane and started shooting the place up... throwing grenades everywhere while the Starship Troopers theme played so loud sparks flew from my speakers... it would've been awesome.

Another good commercial was the Bud Light (I think it was that) with the airplane divers/parachuters where the pilot jumps out after the beer. Just the sound of his footsteps as he ran to the open door were hilarious for some reason.

And watching that army/beer commercial with the clapping in the airport, I thought it was going to turn out that there was someone like Tom Brady walking behind them and the whole joke at the end was that the crowd was clapping for him and not the army.

Ameriquest definitely had the two best commercials.

The Kwiki Mart robbery and the cat murder were HILARIOUS. I was rolling.

Though even with censorship, money talks. That can only explain how that erection commercial got through and others didn't.

And I didn't get the Tabasco commercial, but I liked it. :)

Heh, there were some great ads this year...the NFL Tomorrow ads never fail to amuse, the Ameriquest ads simply rocked, and Hammer mocking himself was priceless.
