Holy crap! Today's real megaton is that more than two people can have the same first name.
There are two versions of the Nikki Mother's Day message.
One with Japanese text underneath, and one with English text "Art Academy."
However, annoyingly for Stationery collectors, you can't have both. As soon as you open the English Mother's Day message, it replaces the Japanese one.

Yeah I noticed that. I guess I was sent the Japanese one first and then Nikki sent me a message and it replaced the first one. Was rather perplexed when the saving stationary message popped up a second time.

I'm lucky in that I sent out a note using the Japanese stationery before receiving the English version. This means that if I want to send out a letter with the Japanese version, I just have to edit my original note.
The lesson is clear - if you want to re-use stationery in future, send out letters as soon as possible.

It makes me sad that no one sends out SwapNotes anymore. I really love this program and I'm lucky if I get 1 reply every time I send out a note. :/
I'd rather have the stationaries in English if they're the same stationary besides the logos. I'd be mad if unique stationaries started replacing each other though.

Yeah Swapnote is pretty dead. I used to download all my new notes and look at them at work. I miss those days.

I still send out notes to like 40-50 people. I rarely get replies but I know that I'm at least putting a smile on at least someone's face, and the ones that haven't looked yet? Spam!
Loading times on SwapNote could be tied to the speed of your SD Card. Did you check if it was a Class 10?
Some Class 10s also suck, I've heard.

Thanks for the tip. Just ordered 2 from the UK equivalent site.
It's a good value. Swapnote runs really well on itmuch better than the 8GB microSD (class unknown) I had in my previous 3DS.

Just got mine... sent to my friends. 
some of my friends also still use it to organize Kid Icarus online matches ^_>
and some report various Nintendo news/rumours
but other than that... yeah. it's a desert.

I send out new notes like three or four times a week and try to reply to all the ones I get, but there isn't as many people actively SwapNoting as I'd like.

Sorry if I seemed impatient, I'm just kinda OCD about receiving my stationary in the order they're released, since it arranges them in the app in the order you received them. I used to have lots of people send me the Japanese exclusive stationary when it came out (which I would then forward to all of my 3DS friends), but now it seems like no one bothers to anymore. EDIT: And of course, as soon as I ask someone online to send me the stationary, a few of my friends send it to me. >.> It took a few days, lol.

I knew you were keen to have it. I would have sent it earlier but I hadn't got round to checking my green lights due to 'real life' stuff getting in the way!
