Target Triple Trade-in Value from 5/18-5/24

Saw someone on CAG say that some of the prices were starting to drop but they failed to mention which ones. Anyone know if this is true?

One person said that and I don't think it's true. None of the stuff I looked up again has dropped. They did drops before today, nothing after.

So what are you guys using your gift cards for? I'm saving mine for E3. Just in case Nintendo announces a new 3DS or something.

I'll also be saving mine for E3. You never know what sort of price drops might happen! Wii U console, Vita memory cards, everything's up in the air!

Go to customer service and they can move it all to one Gift Card.

They can do that? I'm planning on bringing a friend to trade-in my games as well. Would be cool if he could just move the gift card onto mine, instead of me having 2 in my hand.

I'm not sure yet. Lots of things are going through my mind, because I'm probably going to end up with $200. I'm thinking I might buy Watch Dogs, and pocket the rest. Or save up for a Wii U, or buy a bunch of Steam cards for the inevitable Steam sale this year. Decisions, decisions.

I'm saving mine for the next B2G1.
But groceries are also a good option if you're not very patient.

Speaking of B2G1, all but one of my PS4 games is either from a B2G1 or was obtained by trading a game that I picked up at a B2G1 specifically as trade bait.
All but one of my games is trading in at more than I paid for it.

Pfft, I used mine right away on some diapers (even getting a $10 gift card back), some toilet paper (got $5 gift card back, and there was a price/label error on the ones I bought), and finally some toys for my son. If I trade more in this week, I'll use the credit to buy Mario Kart 8 and save the rest for random gifts/grocery items.

Edit: Oh snaps, if it works on Steam cards, I'm getting that.

Hoping I can get a Steam Gift Card, seems mixed that people are okaying it.

Do it at the Electronics desk, they shouldn't care. When I went up front they told me "No buying gift cards with gift cards". At Electronics, no questions were asked.

I got 100 dollars in my Steam wallet (sales soon!) , 50 in PSN, re-uped on PS+, and I have more games to try tomorrow :D

So the website quotes don't reflect the actual trade in values of the deal? I see BF4 as $10 and some people in here have gotten like $54 for it

You have to triple that price. So BF4 would be worth $30 in this case. I heard that as the days go on, some games may drop in price and even leave the list. Which is why some games may be worth $40 now, yet $20 by the last day. This is all just speculation at the moment, but I'd rather play it safe and turn my games in sooner then later.

Really? Shit. Guess I gotta go earlier than I planned.

EDIT: Games are still the same price.

Another question: I see ~$9 for KH 1.5 Remix (so 27), but I have the limited edition one with the artbook that doubles as a case and the outer case bigger than a standard PS3 case? Can I trade it in still?

So basically the more popular a trade-in (i.e the PS4 games) the more likely the trade in value will decrease? So more obscure games have a chance of staying the same trade in value for at least a few days? Ugh I hate this 3 game rule...I'll bring my mom with me for the pokemon games ($60), then drive a few miles for another one..

Now I don't feel bad for missing the GS promo the other week.

Gonna bring the woman along for a second transaction in case they won't do multiples.

Been sitting on a fat stack for awhile because I hate trading in at GS.
I get mad every time.

Hopefully I can nab some PSN/Steam cards, or at least diapers. :D
edit: do they have eShop cards? MK8 incoming and all.

gonna check this thread and the target site tomorrow and flip some ps4 games if prices are still the same. i see a bunch on craigs that are selling for 30 and u can flip for 54 ish.

You might get lucky and get a clerk that doesn't care.

In my case, they weren't aware of the promotion and I had to point the guy to the website, and then call a manager over in order to get things to work. I had to prove that the 18.xx for Infamous:SS was not after the 3x. So by the time I had a transaction (~25 minutes in) for both my brother and me I think they were sick of us and didn't want to do more today, haha.

So, tomorrow!

So they will accept them instore if you don't have the cover art, right? I'd like to trade in Nier but I bought it used from bestbuy so it just has a giant "PRE-OWNED" cover art lol

Funny how I got all of these games from Target during B2G1 deal, and now returning all of them back for more.

Target pays me to rent their games. I love it.

Wait wat, I have to go to a certain station for this?

There's Target "Mobile" within electronics. The employees wear black instead of red. They have their own kiosk. At least that's how it was in my store.

anyone know if the game has to be listed on the site to be included on the deal? I've got a few titles not listed.

If it's not listed it's not part of the promotion, to my knowledge. Though you still might be able to trade it in at 1x if you really wanted.

Can anyone confirm if I can use the credit to pay in-full for pre-orders?

I'm in Florida and will have to spend all the credit as soon as I get it. I would like to pay for Mario Kart 8, Wolfenstein, and Watch Dogs.

Oh wow thanks for this, I hope my guy's there in the morning.

Seems to be that way at all targets. The cell phone guy was telling me its because target is trying to really push their cell phone business. That's all great, but could they at least get everyone in electronics trained up on trade ins? Sucks that one person(who isn't even there until close) who be the only qualified employee to process trade ins.

wow, so i was wrong. i searched for target mobile on my phone and it didnt give me results. searched just now and obviously there are some. i know what im doing tomorrow =)

Couldn't you buy a few things that you don't really want and then get a refund later for another gift card? lol

wait a minute, if i use the link in the OP i get no results. but if i go to the target site and filter search for target mobile, i get results. which do i go by?

In theory yes. But I'm working under the assumption that Florida Targets will wise up to this scheme, and stop giving gift cards for refunds on the trade-in deal.

I actually do want Mario Kart 8 and Watch Dogs, so I would rather just buy them now. I plan to play Wolfenstein and return it for more credit before the promotion ends. I know that most retailers let you put down $5 on a pre-order, but I'm not sure if I can use my credit to pay in full.
