Target Triple Trade-in Value from 5/18-5/24

I don't understand how the employees don't know how to activate the triple trade-in.

It does it automatically. I literally watched the guy click "Trade-In Program", then click on the console, then the game, then answer the questions about the quality of the game. He then got my information, put it in, and printed out the paper. I mean, it seemed super straightforward, so much so that I don't even work there and I could do it.

Are the prices from the search with the value tripled already? A lot of the prices are not necessarily particularly great but I see at least one or two where I might just take the hit to not have to ship a game, etc.

Big drop in prices from yesterday. Still will unload my copy of Wind waker for 30 today. Tomb raider went from 54 to 30, same with infamous, diablo, and South Park.

Exactly, so simple a caveman could do it.

I will keep my copy of Infamous and work on the platinum. Good thing it was the only game I planned on trading in. If I had lost out on several games, I would be very pissed.

So glad I traded in a bunch of my games yesterday. Weeeeeee. Thanks Target! Shame they fixed the absurd prices... they must've noticed the massive influx of trade-ins.

Just got back from the Target on Alafaya by UCF in Orlando. Got a gift card for my 3 games, and was told to go to another store to trade in the rest.

Fucking ridiculous. I just spent 20 minutes at Target with a Mobile employee who didn't know what the fuck he was doing. I had to walk him through every step, and it didn't end up tripling the values. Now I have to go back after work and see if the assistant manager can help. What a fucking joke.

There's a banner with a drop down at the top of the page he has to click to manually enable the triple trade-in promo.

The woman at the kiosk that I went to yesterday had no idea what she was doing. She kept scanning the games for the people in front of me and getting an error. So instead of trying something else, she would just scan it again and get the same error. Finally she called a regular Target employee over to help her, but he couldn't do it either.

I eventually got fed up and left.

The guy doing it for me went to a help page, and found instructions on how to enable the promo. I'm sorry your employee was dumb.

One thing I noted is that I traded in Killzone for $43 and change. A brand new copy of the game was on sale for $39.99.

Welp, there goes my plan to flip South Park. Bought it yesterday evening on sale for $40, with the plan to finish it, and take it back for trade in for $55. It took me longer to finish it than I thought it would, and now the value is down to $30.

$10 is expensive for a one-night rental...lol.

Scan?

My guy didn't scan anything but the gift card that he gave me. He just selected the games from a drop down menu at the mobile kiosk. I used to work at Target 10+ years ago, so I can understand people not knwoing how to do anything. Their training module sucked. But still, it looks incredibly straightforward. Like I said, I could do it, and I had just seen the system for the first time.

Prices from the search you have access to are before the 3x

In the store their console shows the 3x added when they add then to cart. They have to remember to toggle the promotion on at the top of their page first tho

I'm glad I traded yesterday since a lot of prices dropped after this morning. Many of the games that were showing a base value of $18 yesterday are now down to $11 or $9.

Still some decent TIV to be had though...albeit no longer amazing like before. Saw these for $39:

BF4, Killzone SF, Dead Rising 3, The Show ($42)

Most of the other games dropped to $33ish like Infamous, Titanfall, Tomb Raider, NFS, NBA2k14, AC4

Anyone have info on prices for non-listed titles?
no. b/c you can't trade them in

By the looks of it, I'm going to be shit out of luck on the values by the time I get out of work. They seem to be dropping like flies for the 3DS and PS3 games I was going to offload. Oh well.

Man, I was going to go later today, too. I mean I can still get $42 for GTA V, $21 for AC, and $33 for AC4, but I am not sure if I want to give them away. There is a good chance I will never play them again (I haven't finished AC4 yet), but still I always regretted trading in Melee back in the day.

so the places in my area don't accept trade ins and have told me that i must go to the state over (NJ).

not a big deal since I'm close, but am just curious if they have nuked the trade in values yet?

looking to sell south park, TLOU, pokemon x.

At Target right now MGS: Ground Zeroes is 24.99.

They were offering 7.85 yesterday and today they are offering 11.14 for TIV!

Trade in values have been nerfed.

I got 42 for Titanfall and 33 for Ryse. Still a good deal but not quite the steal it was yesterday.

Got 30 for Wind Waker on GameCube. That trade in value stayed the same.

Sucks that the prices dropped. I couldn't get out yesterday to really take advantage of it. The three games I want to trade in ( Pokemon rumble Blast,Pokemon battle revolution and GTAV) netted me 90 before but it's down to 70. Debating if I should still head over there.

Titanfall dropped from $54.96 to $42.00 in the last hour according to the online pricing gizmobot. Still $2 more than new ones sell for on amazon...

makes sense as a lot of people on slickdeals and CAG sounded like they were buying two copies from Toy R US buy two fro $70 and flipping.

Pretty weak of Target to announce a triple value promotion then lower all the base values... but man they screwed up and were paying way more than stuff was worth when it kicked off. Someone needs a slap on the wrist and a calculator.

I was about to order three copies for $120 when I thought it would be a good idea to make sure the trade-in price hadn't changed.. arbitrage is always fun.

the trade values were bound to drop as more people traded games in.

This is kind of par for the norm. For example, Best Buy often has 100% or 50% TIV promotions. Right before they do this they drop TIV so that the TIV are only slightly higher without the promotion.

Target was just being dumb lol

Killzone, Rivals and TLoU all worth around $30 now. :( The local kiosk here doesn't open till 3pm so I'm kind of screwed.
