Target Triple Trade-in Value from 5/18-5/24

46.75 for Luigi's Mansion 3DS and Kid Icarus 3DS, I'm happy, that's what I paid because I got both on sale. Used the proceeds to buy new kitchenware.

Just came back from my local store. Traded in:

- Killzone SF
- TLOU
- Tearaway
- Legend of Zelda: OoT
- FF Theatrhythm
- Call of Duty Ghosts

all for $117.87. Gonna sit on it for now until a game I want comes out or goes on sale.

I don't understand how madden 25 has more value than mlb the show for ps4, but I'll take it. Thinking I'll take mlb, garden warfare, and madden. Hopefully watch dogs will be worth getting with part of my credit.

I traded in Kid Icarus Uprising because I've wanted to get the digital version of the game. I forgot that the save files are linked to the game cart and traded it in before I transferred my save file.

I was so bummed to realize all my hours of progress and streetpass trades had disappeared in a puff of smoke.

A cautionary tale for anyone trying to trade games in that you still might want to play.

Is this to the 24th or through the 24th. Gotta know if I have to go now during rush hour -_-

Good point. This ends TOMORROW guys. Tomorrow when us Target Mobile reps leave. Don't give the Target team members shit about it. If you're thinking about coming in to trade tomorrow, please call ahead of time to find out when the Mobile kiosk closes.

Btw, I met my first Gaffer yesterday!

Thanks for stopping by to do your trades shidoshi!!

Also when I went the employee said he's not taking in any Titan Falls so don't ask. I'm thinking "bitter much". I don't even have Titan Fall.

He says "I know people are just buying them at Toys R Us and coming here to sell them at a profit. Not anymore I'm sick of it, I'm not taking any more"

Like I know it sucks for you but if customer's beat Targets system your still obligated to make the sale. He can't deny them that. I would have fought back.

I went to 2 Targets with Mobile Kiosks at different times yesterday and the mobile person at each somehow were in meetings.

The promo ends at the end of tomorrow, right? Think I'll try again, then, if so.

Just wanted to make sure- It is the send in value (online) multipled by 3 correct? Do they accept collector's editions and how many of each copy do they accept??

Base values times three.

Collector's Edition is YMMV. At worst, they can reduce the value of the game for not having the artwork.

Honestly I'd call corporate (or whoever) to try to get him fired. It's his job to take the items in; it's not his promotion.

Yeah let's get everyone fired when it is hard to find a job still.
They have one job. They're not doing it. If you can't do your damn job, you deserve to be fired.
FYI, Target can't fire us. I'm not defending that douchebag Mobile rep but bitching to Target won't do any good.
Nah, I know they don't work for Target, but they do work for someone. I didn't necessarily mean call Target corporate, but whoever they work for.

I got $80 combined for Knack and ACIV. I got Knack for free and paid $40 for AC. I rarely trade in games but I think I did alright on this one.

Made about $430 from this deal. I'm thinking of trading in a few more but with the way they have this set up in Florida combined with low trade in values for my remaining ps2 games I may not even bother.

Prices are dropping. I checked The last of us Thursday and it was definitely higher than $18 I got yesterday. Also the guy was trying to take off for metal gear collection on the vita because he said it was missing the manual. I told him vita games have their manual on the cartridge. After arguing with him he gave me full price for it. But, then told me I couldn't come back to trace in any more games today because it's 3 per person. I said I'm pretty sure it's just 3 per day.

It is 3 per day. That guy was salty due to you winning an argument prior.

Lol their "one job" is not to take trade in games. They have a lot more duties than that.

If anything, their "one job" is to drive profits. Which taking in the same game for a trade 9829074974 times clearly isn't going to do.

I would say the one job he was referring to is customer service. If a printed ad tells you something then the company representatives have to follow that. It's one of things about retail jobs. The people in charge of maximizing profits are the ones who started the damn trade in promo. And like you said, it's only a part of their job but if you only did part of your job and not all of it, you deserve to be reprimanded.

It sucks that in Utah I had to buy a game or videogame related item right there with my trade in. Supposedly some law here and Florida?

Yea. The guy at target was like just bring it back for a giftcard then he lol.

When I did my second trade-in, the mobile guy said the same thing. He was a chill dude, and even though I knew the refund gift card method, I appreciated he cared enough to tell me about it.

Damn some of you guys had it rough. The chick at my thing was not only nice, good looking and really helpful but she ran all 12 of my games through at one time and gave me 3 gift cards no problem.

okay guys, not sure its been discussed here or not but here is how you make mad money(its bad but hey its your karma, rep on the line) Price match Fifa 14 for the 360 to the target website, buy FF Lightning returns ps3, buy rayman legends for the ps4, trade them in to get roughly $15-$20 profit each time( this is time consuming but hey free is free and i'm definitely a cheap ass) more people you got with ya the easier it is to get stuff(i have enough to get an xbox one but am waiting to see if its worth it still (just got a ps4 a few weeks ago and thought it way to soon to buy another console)

I had a district manager at my target when I went, he was actually training someone and said they can do separate transactions for all the games since the promo was 3 per transaction. So all the peeps saying you can't do more than three a day are lying according to this district manager.

I think it's pretty obvious that I didn't mean the Mobile rep literally had one thing to do. However, part of the job description is taking in used video games. The rep said he's not taking in anymore Titanfalls because people are flipping them. If someone brought in one copy of Titanfall, can you please let me know how you'd distinguish between someone flipping the game and someone who just wants to trade their game in? The guy might as well not take in anymore trades at all since every game might be a flip. I think Target knows very well that it's losing a ton of money on the promo considering it's selling games for less than they trade in for. Not sure how you infer that the dude's job is to drive profits when this is obviously a loss-leading promotion.

Yea that dude was just wrong. So what if someone came in with 5 copies of Titan Fall to sell so they get a new game free. That's the promotion. No where does it say you can't trade in multiple copies of the same game.
