I wanna know when the Pyro video is coming :D
Hmm I know a gamergirl in the servers I frequent that always plays either pyro or medic... that's not you, right?! I play on the No Heroes servers.

No shit? I've been playing a ton on the No Heroes servers lately.
how friendly are no heroes? I played on the server when i first started or so. but Never went back. I'm mostly always on the NEMU Dustbowl Server. There's this one guy that goes and "troll" who doesn't do shit :lol. brian_mcdoogle or something.

My experiences there have been really good. I would say they're friendly. My only issue is if the game is close to full they have reserve spots and you're supposed to be able to hit F3 to change to another one of their servers that isn't left with just reserved spots, but it never seems to work for me.

how many people? Nemu holds 34 but there's "Brutus" the bot they don't want to remove :lol.

Anyone else make a purchase just so they could get the Mann Co. Cap? :D

My girlfriend actually spent 22$ on hats so she could get the special bonus item...which turned out the be a green can of paint.

^ What can you paint with the er.. paint?
edit: Nevermind just checked the wiki.

Has anyone unlocked the Croc-o-Style Kit(Sniper)? That's what I want most. Already have the Pee-Rifle and Gator-Shield, need the Bushwacka and Gator-Cap

Yes, then I bought more stuff since they made me put $5 into my wallet, then $10 more into it when I ran out for more keys. Evil evil company :lol

I somehow ended up with 3, I think its due to me buying stuff from Multiple computers though. Would paint one of them black if black wasn't a crate only paint and I am paranoid to use it now thinking it may become ULTRA RARE.

Yeah, the Mann Co. hat is boss, and is probably in my top five of hats in the game. U: I don't give no shits that it's super common! It's awesome. :3

^^ Hells yeah, as soon as I got it I put it on all the characters:D

Yes at first I just was going to buy the 50¢ Rocket Jumper to get the hat, but found out I had to add $5 minimum =S

Oh God I'm the same way with rare items(in general), I'm soo afraid to use them then I realize I beat the game and its still in my inventory:lol Regarding the paint, check to see if you would want to re-color any of the other paint-able hats more than the Mann Co. Cap, if not then go for it:D

I bought the whole bundle. I like the Croc kit . . . it allows me to annoy snipers that are better than me since they headshot me yet I do not die. :lol I heal up and hit them a couple times and they die. It is great for fail-sniper. :D

I love vocally taunting the new obvious bodyshot snipers. :D

(Even though I am actually terrible at sniping... though there was a time when I was "getting better.")

Is the Mann Co. hat thingy still available? Kinda sucks that you need to shop out of the game, wanted to buy some stuff now :lol

Thx! Will do at home.

As for crates, just gift them to us, Wii - it´s going to be cheaper for you in the end ;)

Crates are gone, and sorry Twig but nothing on your first page interests me all that much. As for you Brak, I'd be up for the Danger Shield if you think thats fair.

Speaking of fair, what the hell is it with people and crazy imaginary economy? Some guy told me a 'vintage' weapon is worth two normal weapons. How? Where does this value come from? Worth two normal weapons relative to what? My trading is almost exclusively about getting shit I want but dont have, not based on a pseudo economy.

Also, everything I have on page two of my backpack is crap I want to trade. Especially the class/weapon tokens.

That black color looks delicious. Oh my I have never thought I am doing this... but Valve makes it work.

All weapon values are determined by their worth in SoJs.

Honestly Vintage Weapons are more valuable just because you can't get them any more and some people are crazy. I was one short of having all of them so I'm trading to complete the set, but the others I'm just keeping around to trade for newer stuff that I still need.

With stuff like this it's pretty easy for individual sellers to just bully their way into creating the particular economy they want. TF2, I think, is too fragmented for standard values to become established which makes it easier for these uneven deals to go through. If there was something like a global trading system or WoW style auction house things would quickly flatten out into something with the semblance of an economy.

There is real scarcity involved, though. Vintage items are rare, and they are marked as such, and since some people care about thet it stands to reason they'll pay more for them.

All weapon values are determined by their worth in SoJs.

I started playing Diablo 2 maybe a year and a half ago, and I never found a SoJ D: I really wanted one, too. The economy had moved on to runes, but I don't understand how people managed to get so many SoJs. Was it just duping?

Yeah vintage are worth more

(key words begin) to the right people (key words end).

You can't get 'em anymore, and some people care about that sort of thing (because they're OCD (like me)).

That's so crazy. Game economy is weird. I mean, I'd probably never part with my Pyro vintage stuff because its super special and I wuv my Pyro-wyro, but...thats different! Well, if any of you loony OCDs want me to exploit you with my sweet vintage weapons then go ahead and make me an offer I cant refuse.

I wish they'd remove the crafting prohibition on traded and achievement items. It's annoying when you have enough duplicates to craft something, but you need to use the Vintage items (usually for some class you don't use much, BUT STILL), because the achievement and traded/gifted ones can't be crafted.

Ha. Most of the time game economies are just an exercise in exploitation. I think they're fun, though, because even if you over pay for something at the end of the day you got what you wanted for a price you found acceptable. And hunting out good deals can be a lot of fun--it was pretty much all I did in pre-bazaar EQ. I found one item worth trading and went from there.

I think they might be necessary, because during something like a free weekend you could create dozens of accounts, use an unlocker (and from what I understand they don't police the milestone un locker at all) to get all your weapons, then trade them to your real account.

And they have said that they want to make gifted items able to be traded and crafted, so that's nice at least.

They will eventually, its why I'm willing to trade crates for anything.

Yeah, thats stupid. Like my standard Force-A-Nature. I had a vintage one long before I got the achievement one, but was forced to use it when I wanted to craft for the Shortstop.

Thankfully the Shortstop is ballin.

They're interesting, but still crazy :P. I knew about the SoJ stuff with D2, but its different to see it in something like TF2. Though hardly unexpected I guess.

I still think the whole "Vintage is more valuable" stuff is crazy. Then again, I'll probably exploit it for hats.

Traded items can definitely be crafted.

Gifted can't, but they're working on it.

Yeah I hate that they added the "vintage" name now I don't want to craft even if I don't use said weapon just because its vintage.
