I wonder if Valve will put a crate inside another crate. That would probably get their fans to finally revolt.
i was on a server when someone said that happened to them :lol. idk how true it was.

A few posters on the SomethingAwful forums said that it happened to them, but they also got another item along with the crate.

That is more believable, for some reason. But I wonder if they just had a crate queued up for the next time they died, and the crate item triggered it prematurely.

I suppose the message would be different, though, if that were the case.

Can you do anything with the crates besides buy a key, cause I'm stuck with 3 of them I'm never going to use. I wish you could sell items you don't want/use for TF2-monies, then use it to buy more wepons/items.

i heard someone also got another equalizer. but then again it could have been crate >>> equalizer :lol
I don't know what it is about equalizers but I get one like every other drop:lol
* Fixed the Sandvich cooldown not occurring when the Heavy is hurt.
Why did they change this back, no one complained about the sandvich being OP, especially since no one likes to play Medic.

Wait DMPrince and you Dead Prince on nemus? I frequent there often :o

1) Give them to me!
2) Trade them for other items with lesser posters.
3) Toss them out if trading is to much of a hassle.

Apparently I'm not understanding what exactly they changed...I'll have to try it out ingame. How are you interpreting it? Was there not a cooldown in certain situations before? I thought the timer was always there.

Anyone here wanna trade their Max's Head to me? Or possibly a Dapper Topper? PM if you are willing. I have hats to trade you.

A guy traded me the ear buds for my doctors mirror. Was that a good trade for me? Minutes later he tried to get it back from me...lol

Dead Prince, yes that's me.

Nemu's dustbowl is my main server. Do you guys use other names? Im not sure i've seen you guys.

Only name i use or at least some "word" and Prince. I'm there on the dustbowl server a lot :lol.

Nemu's Battleground (proving and stomping also) is my main server. I never would have figured crossing paths with people that play on them.

You recently gifted me a cloak and dagger :]

When the Heavy update came out there wasn't any cool-down.
Then later they added a cool-down.
Then took the cool-down off.
Then added the cool-down again.

Ughh....Heavy was becoming one of my most used classes since the cool down went away...

i got two buckets of paint for a hat i hated :D i feel vindicated by that, green is so awesome a colour, im going to have to wait to get a hat i like for it though

Can anyone tell me if it is at all possible to run TF2 in -windowed mode and with -noboarder on at game resolution 1024x768 with desktop resolution being 1280x1024, but having the game fill the whole screen as if it were 1280x1024? Hope that makes sense lol, basically i want the performance of the lower resolution but cant stand the game being a small square inside my desktop.

Just toss your sandvich to your teammate (perhaps a medic) or yourself to get an instant 50% boost. You can eat on the run, and you don't make a loud noming noise to attract enemies!

*edit* I just tested. You can eat it forever, you can toss it, etc. and it seems to recharge after tossing. What nerf are people talking about? Or did they undo it?

As for you Brak, I'd be up for the Danger Shield if you think thats fair.
Sounds fair to me.
Here's my steam id # as well, http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197997559962, since notsol337 had some issues searching for me by name--possibly because I changed the name of my steam account.

I should be online tonight.

As for the in-game economy, I find it fascinating but I don't really care whether my stuff is labeled vintage or not. I just want one of everything so I can experiment with different loadouts. Mostly because I'm just not a twitch gamer and I sort of need to modify most of the classes into something where I can succeed. A la Jarate/Lucksman sniper; I am a terrible vanilla sniper.

That's why I don't really understand why people would prefer vanilla TF2 as the items give so much more room for various playstyles that are not strictly upgrades, just more suited to an individual's abilities.

Googled it, maybe try -windowed -w 1024 -h 768 -noborder in launch options?
I have a feeling it won't be fullscreen though :/
edit: Ya it's not fullscreen. Probably not possible :(

I get why you want it, but ugh having the graphics all stretched out like that

THE WORST

i'm pretty sure that'd fall under your monitor's menu options, check there for "1:1" or "auto-aspect ratio" or something

but yuck

From the Wiki:

Undocumented Changes
The crafting Workbench size has been increased to 4x3 blocks (from 3x3)
Crate Series #2 added
Charges to the Steam Wallet now include area-based sales tax.

Does that mean in addition to what you put into the wallet, or it's already included in the price? I assume the former.

Edit: The wiki no longer includes the Sales Tax change. I don't know if that means it wasn't true, or if they just thought it related to Steam more than TF2.

Here's what's in the Series 2 crates:

Black Box
Shortstop
L'Etranger
Sober Stuntman
Pugilist's Protector
Chieftan's Challenge
Dueling Mini-Game
A Deep Commitment to Purple
Australium Gold
Or an Exceedingly Rare Special Item!

There's no useful trading interface/tool is there? Like I can't mark which items in my backpack I'm willing to trade or anything like that, can I?

Stick them on a dedicated page. You have four of them.

Odd that they made the crafting bench bigger, since I don't think anything needs more then 4 slots as it is. Maybe you will have to use all 12 for the Polycount hats :lol

"Don't want to spend $17? Have no fear! You can now craft 12 hats of any kind to construct one random polycount hat!" :lol
;_;

Before this update, if you ate the sandvich, there was no recharge time, only if you threw it on the ground was there a recharge meter.

Oh god :lol

But they are ether going to overhaul the crafting system, or just make it easier to make metal.

i think that was patched a while ago

They already added series 2 crates? I never even got a series 1 crate. Or are both types of crates going to be drops concurrently?

Edit: Just answered my own question. Went and played for 20 minutes and got a series 1 crate for a drop. At least now the description tells you what you can potentially find inside now

This right here was the best set-up, I hate that they had to change it again.

Yeah, especially with the G.R.U.(-6 health) I would get to the front lines fast and heal up, now I'm going to be penalized for it >.>

I feel that eating a sandvich is too loud and dangerous and time-consuming in some/most situations, so this didn't bother me, but for those who care, as of yesterday:

1. Taunt with sandvich at full health, don't have cooldown.
2. Taunt with sandvich while injured, don't have cooldown.
3. Click with sandvich at full health, don't have cooldown.
4. Click with sandvich while injured, DO have cooldown.

Unfortunately for those who care, case #4 probably indicates that they just messed up their update and will fix the other cases next.

ReconYoda said:
Nope, just was patched. I know because i had been using it up until the mann co update when they patched it.
Well just use the taunt button already! You crazy people who don't ever taunt. :P
