This is so weird. My favorite thing about the Metroid games is the atmosphere and mood. I can't see Team Ninja pulling it off. Those cutscenes were pretty cringe worthy. But it looked really fun to play, so day one.

I don't have high hopes for an interesting plot from Team Ninja and at first glance, the cinematics looked goofy and generic™, but the gameplay shots were fucking awesome. I just hope Team Ninja has the chops to match such a flawless franchise. Awesome concept so far, though.

That's assuming Other M plays like Ninja Gaiden II (and thank god it won't) Just because Tecmo is making it doesn't mean it'll have the shitty camera system of NG II. That's like saying Capcom's new breath of fire game will have tank controls, because they made RE1.

Doubt it. Early stages of development for other M would likely coincide with the heart of development during NG2.

What I'm thinking is Team Ninja is programming the battle system and having some creative input while Nintendo is doing most the of the directing. Though, it could be the other way around. We need more footage.
