Tearaway Unfolded hits PS4 on 9th September.

Isn't the narrative that "PS4 has no AAA hard hitters for the holidays!"? As if mega blockbuster AAA games with $50+ million budgets are the only kinds of games that matter for the holidays.

Tearaway for $40 is a good price. I was hoping it would've released in the middle of August though. Sept 9th might see it get buried a bit.

Until Dawn is the retail title for August.

I could have sworn there was a quote saying that about 50% of the content is new. Maybe someone knows what I mean and can provide it. Not sure about the camera though. Kind of doubt they'd put dependence on it just for the fact that it doesn't seem like it would be a super popular peripheral.

Hmm...not bad.

Nice, but the Vita version was enough for me.

Basically this. I'd rather this be a whole new sequel. The Vita hardware was absolutely integral to the experience of the game and I don't see it translating well as a port with 50% new content or whatever.

This. It will bomb even harder than on Vita.

I loved the original but I don't think I'll buy this one.

The Vita version was made by 15 people, which is the size of a big indie studio, this port is probably being made by even less people. The game doesn't need to sell 500k to break even.

It's turning out to be a pretty good lineup for PS4 the next few months

July:
GOW3 Remastered

August:
Until Dawn
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
Volume

September:
Tearaway Unfolded
SOMA

October:
Uncharted Collection
Tales of Zestiria
Dragon Quest Heroes

November:
TLG?!?!
Zz

November/ December
Persona 5!!!

Such an amazing game. I hope it does well on console, because it's sales on vita are beyond depressing. :(

Honestly, it so unique and fun to play. One of the best games I've played in the last 5 years. Now all I need is a re release of Gravity Rush PS4, and I'll be happy.

What's going on with all these 40$ games? I love it

Sony price games based on efforts needed to make that instead of asking full AAA $60 like some publishers who charge AAA price even if its not a made using efforts/budget close to AAA and does not have enough content thats worth the price by using gamers weakness and marketing to sell.

they're not going to use vita-only features. they've already talked about it during their reveal that they're using the dualshock 4 features.

So, how much new content is there? Is there a confirmation of the 50% figure someone mentioned earlier in the thread. Because I loved Tearaway on the Vita, but it's €15 more expensive than the Vita version was. So there really should be a significant amount of new content to warrant that price difference. And sure, Vita games are normally less expensive than PS4 games in the first place, but as someone who already played the Vita version I don't really care about that.

Exactly. Which game is a parent must likely to buy for their kid?

Murder Simulator #1
Murder Simulator #2
Murder Simulator #3
Tearaway Unfolded

Given the sales of things like Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto? Every single one of those murder simulators.

Pffft I see no real games here.

I know, this is awful. There aren't even any real triple-A original retail releases there at all!

July:
GOW3 Remastered - doesn't count as it's a remaster

August:
Until Dawn - QTE simulator
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture - walking simulator
Volume - indie garbage

September:
Tearaway Unfolded - port of a Vita game
SOMA - pretentious indie horror garbage

October:
Uncharted Collection - lazy garbage doesn't even have multiplayer
Tales of Zestiria - Japanese garbage
Dragon Quest Heroes - button-mashing garbage

November:
TLG - made for the PS3, released on the PS4 with awful graphics intact

Tearaway Unfolded

Murder Simulators without a doubt. Or you know, the new Skylanders and Lego games coming out in a similar timeframe.

Lego Dimensions - September 27th
Skylanders Supercharged - September 20th.

Tearaway doesn't stand a chance.

Even the Tearaway box art has the character's back to the camera!

Might get it at some point. Imma be all up in that Phantom Pain around the time this comes out.

A little bit later than I have anticipated but not bad timing.

Sony has the pre holiday season covered it seems.

I think they will have announced for November during E3. Would have been a perfect spot for Uncharted as a crown jewel for all in all a good year for PS4 exclusives.

I was under the impression that half of the game was gonna be completely new, is this true? I still need to get the vita game, if this is true and I end up liking the vita game I'll surely get this.

The more 3d platformers the better

There it is.

June - Planetside 2

July - Rocket League, Godzilla, & GOW III:R

August - Until Dawn & EGttR

September - Tearaway Unfolded

October - Uncharted: TNDC

Solid exclusive lineup for the year.

If you have a Vita without Tearaway what are you doing? It really is something special that would only work on Vita.

Lol you played you part perfectly

For 40$ I will buy this, IF MGSV isnt consuming all my time...

Definitely buying this - never got around to playing Tearaway on the Vita so when this was announced I was very happy.

Honestly there are too many games to play this year...when the dust settles I think this year will be remembered as one of the best in a very long time.

Already had...
Bloodborne
Witcher 3
Splatoon

and still have...
Tearaway
Batman
Until Dawn
MGSV
Uncharted Collection
Forza
Halo
Tomb Raider

Plus all the indies already released and more to come. phew.

Great price, going to jump in on day 1. The Vita version was my second-favorite game in 2013, only behind The Last of Us. :)

August - Until Dawn & EGttR

September - Tearaway Unfolded

October - Uncharted: TNDC

Solid exclusive lineup for the year.

Bolded are day 1's for me, the Uncharted collection I'll buy some time later, probably when it gets its first price cut. Going to be some awesome months. :)

I played about an hour of the vita version a few months ago and have never gotten back to it. Another one that didn't click with me, and I didn't have any crazy expectations.

I'll give it another shot eventually, but won't plan on getting the PS4 version.

Release schedule starting to get packed again. Nice :)

Hopefully there's a good marketing push behind it and more people pay attention to it (and buy it) this time around. Myself included.

Where are you guys getting $40 from.
