Tearaway Unfolded hits PS4 on 9th September.

Great sent to die date! I guess Sony didn't learn from the "Puppeteer" experience.

IMO, August would probably have been better in terms of sales.

Yeah, a July release especially would have done wonders I feel like. Obviously if it's not done then you can't release it, but it's still too bad.
 
I wish that Special Edition would make its way across the pond.

It sucks when the US doesn't get a collector's edition. At least in this case it is a European developer, so it makes a little sense.

Persona 5, No Man's Sky, Galak-Z, RiME and The Witness presumably don't have dates yet?
 
I love this game but that date seems terrible. Right after MgS 5 and Mad Max. Seems like it won't be able to find an audience once again. Hope I'm wrong because the game definitely deserves more sells.
 
I'm having trouble deciding if I should get it right away, or wait for it to become half off a week after launch like the Vita version lol

1.5 week from Mad Max and MGS:PP? with the weak marketing so far I would say the game is dead on arrival unless Sony do something remarkable to advertise it.

I'd say there's a far greater chance of those two games cannibalizing each other's launch week sales than Tearaway.
 
I had this at #1 or #2 on my goty list on here the year it came out for vita. It's a great game with one of the best gaming soundtracks ever made. Buy it people, if I had a PS4 I'd buy it again.
 
*sigh* I was hoping this would be digital so I wouldn't be tempted to get it. Hopefully the retail version is priced well in Canada.

Is there any reason to hold onto the Vita version @ this point though?

Game is day 1 for me, the vita version was awesome.

That is what I am hoping. They can roll all of these pre e3 announcements into a nice 5 minute trailer and keep going. Obviously ratchet is going to get some more screen time though

I think that costume pack is standard pre-order bonus no matter which retailer you choose.

Have they shown the plushie yet? I'd love to see if before I decide if I want it, because neither of the Sackboy plushies thus far were satisfyingly screen accurate. The face proportions were pretty wonky, unfortunately...

Second time they sent it to die. It's original version was at PS4/X1 launch and GTA. I swear Sony just hates anything that reeks of Vita.
 
idk when im going to get a ps4 to play this but this going to be ones of the first games i get when i do.
think im going to play as atoi in this version since i did iota last time

Vita's anemic install base sends most of its library to die, tbh, but you're right that Vita Tearaway's release coinciding with the PS4's launch didn't help it at all.

I'd bet that the PS4's install base, plus the PS4's library being a bit thin on super family friendly side of things-- especially for retail games-- will ensure TU gets a more robust marketing push this time around.

I swear, if this game is dead on arrival, I will become a freaking cynic, because it's such a charming experience.

The Vita version OT title was perfect: "Iota 64", or considering the push with the female counterpart, I guess Atoi 64 is also fitting!

Now I want to play Puppeteer again. It was an amazing game. They should Remaster it for the PS4 and give it another chance. I got it over GTA.

Puppeteer Encore Edition?
 
I've never played the Vita version, so I'm really looking forward to checking this out. I love the aesthetics; the entire game just seems to be bursting with charm.

Isn't the Journey Remaster due In the time as well?

I mean I realise it doesn't count because remaster and 'pushing forward on the stick for 2 hours' non-gameplay...
 
I have the vita version brand new sitting somewhere and I have been unable to find it for about 6 months. One of these days I'm going to tear the house apart so I can finally play the damn game.
