Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles |OT| Nickelodeon made a funny!

Hoping these monster of the week episodes are a bit fewer and farther between.

I am a bit worried that this season is going to put us into mutant overload. I don't know how it can be helped knowing that the season premise is all about recovering the scattered ooze canisters, most of which are bound to get opened somehow.

It's not like last season had a lack of mutants, either.

It's not that I don't find it cool, I do. Just I think the turtles being mutants makes them kinda special, but when we have dozens of new mutants suddenly appearing it definitely takes away from that.

I'd like to see it balanced a lot more -- not just wall-to-wall mutants, give us some more ninjas, robots, aliens and other characters in the mix. Not to mention revisiting some of the characters we already have, we don't need something new EVERY week when we already have some really cool characters like Rat King or Newtralizer running around. I do love the Squirrelanoids though.

The squirrels are kinda awesome :) This series' Pizza Monsters I guess?

Also (kinda) hidden Casey in the intro looks interesting.

As if everything up to this episode wasn't fantastic enough; this episode brought this series into God Tier TMNT Status for me. Amazing work by the crew working on this version of the TMNT.

Great episode today! Always like it better when they focus more on the characters themselves as well as the Foot rather than monster of the week mutants. Wonder how much of the season
Shredder is out of the picture for.

I wonder how they'll handle the new robo-foot in the future. Will they revert to the same level of normal-foot? That's what I'm expecting.

Awesome episode. The foot robots really forced the turtles to evolve their fighting skills.
I liked that, when they were first overwhelmed and then learned the foot were robots, the "lethal" use of their weapons gave them back the advantage (before the robots learned how to deal with them), and then they truly improved when they learned how to improvise. Show by Leo finally defeating Karai in a fair fight, instead of the usual stalemate. You can notice they are slowly approaching Splinter and Shredder's level.

I just hope the "human factor", don't loose to much importance to the robots. Hopefully, the show throws a bone to the 2003 series and when, Shredder comes back from japan, he brings the Foot elite guard

Huh. Didn't think they would drop the Karai "bomb" on the Turtles so soon. There are also playing up the Shredder & Karai dissent card fast and early. You'd think one villian sometime wold learn that it doesn't behoove you to treat your family like trash :/ I'm quite interested in seeing where this will all go.

In my mind, this could shape up to a massive season finale. If Karai learns the truth and a handful of robotic foot soldiers are still programmed to be loyal to her, you could have an interesting city wide war-

The Good Side-
Turtles, Karai, Splinter, April, Casey, friendly mutants like Leatherhead and Kirby/Wingnut, Slash, and Newtralizer (he's an enemy of the Kraang- could come over to the turtle team)

Evil Side -
Shredder, The Kraang, New Foot recruits, Baxter, Dogpound, Fishface, a number of evil mutants gathered to his side

So I heard that the TMNT reunion was not supposed to be a special episode after all
more like 5 minutes long

I don't think Karai's the type to go with another side, she might decide to destroy both factions.

Pretty fun episode! This is really pushing things towards the 80s series' setup with the robot foot, Shredder teaming up with the Kraang, and the Technodrome (I'm sure it will come back in some form). Glad with the robot foot they're allowing the turtles to finish them off in quick and vicious ways that they couldn't get away with when they were human.

I'm also wondering if they're try to follow similar story beats to the first season. This episode kinda played out very similar to the third ep of last season (or 4th if you want to split the premiere into two parts). Both began with training with the foot in Bradford's dojo that is capped off with a shredder appearance and both end with a kidnapping of one of the turtles.

by now I am pretty sure that the creators of this are forbidden by law to make a bad episode.

It's amazing how constantly good this show is. I look back in shame at the time it was first revealed and I laughed it off. There's no question about it, this is the best TMNT thing ever.

Totaly !

Stealth mode is awesome and this season has glorious fighting choreography

Here is an animatic for last week's episode

Fuck yeah children's cartoon xD

They did such a great job with this ep. Pleased with it on every level.

I'm also current on all the action figs. I have all of the ones currently released... well, the basic-sized ones. Not interested in the deluxe or 'giant' ones.

Just got the storage shell turtles, they're fantastically sculpted. Also got Spider Bytez and Shredder 2... the former took a while to track down.

Catching up on some episodes. Just finished "Follow the Leader", easily one of the best episodes of the series, if not the best.
